Beautifully renovated property. Staff was personable and proactively helpful. Restaurant was worth a visit.
Beautifully appointed hotel!
We had a king room, the room
was a bit small. The coffee machine is located on the second shelf of a console. Completely unusable.
The bed and bedding were comfortable!
We ate at the bar in the restaurant.
We had great salads and chicken piccata was not traditional, it was just ok.
There is coffee service on the bar but no tea service?
The front desk personnel have to go to the kitchen if you want ice.
What a nice surprise in Amarillo. This hotel is great for a stay over between Texas/Colorado road trip. Excellent selection of bourbons/wine. Food was outstanding...cheers to the chef. I recommend having dinner in the basement Speakeasy. Bar in lobby had slow service and the bartender wasn't well versed on the different choices, but was friendly. Rooms were large, clean, quiet and dark! We used the valet service. Free coffee in the lobby was not warm on our departure day so that was a bummer. They do accept pets for a fee.
This place is located next to a bar and route 66. People drive up and down route 66 most of the night. Loud music, racing, loud vehicles constantly driving by. You could hear some of them drive the short loop around the downtown from the hotel room. The bar gets out at 2 am and people go outside to talk... enough people to wake us up. The hotel is aware of this and it's a common problem. We didn't sleep because of the noise and the light outside was very bright. We were on the second floor. We were close to the elevator and people moving carts in and out were very loud. There is a marble block at the entrance to the elevator and the cart colliding with it would cause the sound.
Ice must be requested. The staff are kind and get the ice without issue.
We used the valet and didn't have any issues with our mountain bikes locked on the back of our truck. One of the valet guys was exceptional. You can park on the street for free during the evening or night. With all the party around this place... we would not park on the street.
The room was lovely. It had a very "Texas" feel. The hotel lobby was also nice. The hotel includes refresh service daily. Too many hotels have stopped offering cleaning services, this is not one of them!
The staff was excellent!
It seemed they had their hands full and not enough staff for Sunday morning.
The bed was really hard and not what I expected for the price.
What a great experience and the environment was truly amazing!!!

Absolutely loved my first stay here—this place is a hidden gem! The hotel is incredibly cozy with beautifully updated rooms that capture a perfect Texas charm while still feeling elegant and upscale.
The breakfast at the restaurant was outstanding—those muffins alone are worth coming back for! Every detail of the experience felt thoughtful and welcoming.
What truly stood out was the exceptional customer service. From check-in to check-out, the staff went above and beyond to make the stay seamless and enjoyable.
It has that perfect boutique feel that makes it unique and memorable. I can’t recommend this hotel enough and will definitely be back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
First night after two weeks in US that we had a good night of sleep. Room was spacious and beautiful! It smelled good every where and there were pics of animals 🥹
A beautiful hotel, very classy

Service, personal, location
We have been wanting to star at the Barfield Hotel for a while. The hotel is lovely and so are the bars. So very disappointed with the Toscana Restaurant. My Brussels sprout Caesar had way too much salad dressing and the carbonara was the worst, tasted like across between cream and brown gravy. It was just dropped off at our table without being offered Parmesan cheese which may have improved the flavor. If you love carbonara like I do pass on the one at the Toscana restaurant. But do stay at the Barfield Hotel and enjoy the bars.
