Quiet, intimate, and special resort
Pros:

We had the most gorgeous stay. Hospitality was top notch, all excursions booked easily through concierge, decor is outstanding and, dare I say, better than the four seasons. The artist of all caltragirone work at the resort is a master and everywhere you look was beauty. We stayed in the isola bella penthouse suite and we plan to return in 2027. Thank you for a beautiful time 💕

Our new favourite hotel in Taormina
Pros:

We so enjoyed staying at this lovely hotel. It's a fabulous location, right on the sea where you can sit and have breakfast overlooking the ships sailing by. The breakfast was delicious, best avocado toast ever! The pool area is stunning and so relaxing. We had a large and spacious well appointed room with Terrace overlooking the garden and the sea. We will return!

Truly a 5 star experience
Pros:

Absolutely incredible hotel with stunning views. The rooms were so clean and immaculately kept. Water pressure was strong. Everything was flawless. The staff treated us amazingly as well. Every single staff member from the drivers to the front desk to the pool staff were so kind and sweet. Could not have had a better stay. Drinks at the pool were very expensive but I guess it’s to be expected at a hotel like this. Location is about a 15 minute walk into town but the hotel offers a car transfer service (mercedes van) to take you to/from the town center.

Great views , great hotel!
Pros:

Just left yesterday. Great property, excellent service. The views are spectacular, the pool and lounge chairs are very comfortable. Wonderful setting. The shuttle service is very convenient, super friendly too! Our room overlooked Taormina and the sea, wonderful. Breakfast was very good. My family from Italy met us and loved the property! 5stars with an L is ultra luxury so be prepared!
Very clean.
They also have a deal with a beach club La Cavalla, shuttle included as well as beach chairs and umbrella. Water was calm , clear.

A great 5 Star hotel in Taormina
Pros:

This hotel is a real gem. If you want a 5 star hotel that is well priced for the market and excellent service and facilities then this is it. The service is outstanding. The main pool is beautiful and quiet with one of the best views in Sicily. The food is excellent and the rooms are nice. They aren’t the biggest rooms but they are really well designed with a great bathroom and decor.
Overall this was an excellent stay and we were really pleased we booked it. Nothing to complain about. In fact only complementary points. Would come back for sure

Return in Taormina after 15 years

Our stay at Grand Hotel San Pietro in Taormina was truly exceptional and easily one of the highlights of our trip to Italy.
The hotel is beautiful, elegant and incredibly peaceful, with breathtaking views over the sea and a wonderful atmosphere throughout. However, what impressed us most was the service. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, the entire team made us feel genuinely welcome and looked after. Everyone was warm, attentive and professional, while still making the experience feel very personal.
We were travelling as a family with our young daughter, and the kindness and attention shown to us made the stay even more special. It is the small details and the genuine care from the staff that we will remember most.
The rooms, breakfast, pool area, gardens and spectacular views all contributed to an unforgettable experience. The hotel manages to feel luxurious without being pretentious, which is something we particularly appreciated.
We have stayed at many five-star hotels over the years, and Grand Hotel San Pietro genuinely stands out. It is one of those places you leave already thinking about when you can return.
A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for making our time in Taormina so memorable. We would return without hesitation and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sicily.

great 5 nights honeymoon!

My husband and I spent 5 nights at Grand Hotel San Pietro for our honeymoon and absolutely loved it! The property was very clean and updated, concierge & the entire staff was very attentive and friendly. We would definitely recommend & can’t wait to come back!

Pros:

The most fantastic stay! The staff was absolutely lovely and so helpful. We had lost luggage and cancelled flights and they were so instrumental in retrieving luggage, extending our stay etc. it was actually incredible how helpful they were! We were traveling with our 15 month old and they were so sweet with her and her needs. The hotel was immaculate, the grounds are spectacular, rooms are perfect. The pool is a dream, food was amazing. It was a 5 star stay. The hotel’s location is also ideal!

Fabulous, just Fabulous
Pros:

We have stayed in many 5 star hotels and this one tops them all. Everything was superlative. We can't say enough about the staff, the accomadations and especially the breakfast buffet and menu.

We had a sea view room with a balcony. The room was meticulously clean and was kept that way with nightly turn down service.

We dined in the restaurant our first night and had an excelent meal. In the morning their breakfast buffet was the most extensive I had ever seen in all of Europe. The quality of the food was exemplary. They offer a menu with additional choices.

The most significant value to this hotel is the staff. Plenty of hotels offer excellent service, but in addition to that, the staff at this hotel could not be more genuinely friendly. At the breakfast buffet if the staff sees you walking with a plate they will come and take it for you. They are exceptionally attentive.

Note: The hotel is located down from the main center of Taormina. It is a 10 minute walk if you chose to do it. However, the hotel has two vans that will shuttle you up and back. In the August heat we did walk down to the hotel twice, but we never walked up to the town center!

Have stayed here twice and won’t hesitate to stay again.
Pros:

Everything. Pool and view are great. The renovations are beautiful and the rooms very comfortable. Beautiful breakfast area as well as the bars. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Just the loud obnoxious American tourists who don’t respect other people’s quiet time.
