Great location BUT it is located on HWY 101 and there is a steady flow of traffic 24/7. The hotel has no AC, so you are forced to leave open the sliding glass door. We bought ear plugs from WalMart so we could muffle the traffic noise on the second night. There's no window on the entry=side so impossible to get any air flow.
The bed was comfortable, room was large and clean, parling lot was convenient, and coffee in the small lobby at 8am was nice.
Management and staff were very nice. Room was ready upon our arrival.

I loved the view and the accessibility. It was centrally located and everything was fine n walking distance.
There was no AC and we died the whole time. The bathrooms were filthy and we had to clean them ourselves. We went and bought cleaning supplies right after checking in.
Location was great
It says Queen room but the bed was only a double bed. We have a pet and was charged $25 but no treats or any dog amenities at all unlike other hotels. Bed and pillows were lumpy. No breakfast at all except coffee and granola bar and twinkies. .
The location was wonderful. We had an ocean view directly from our room, so we could watch the changing tides, which was really lovely. The room was clean, fresh-smelling and had enough space for a comfortable stay. We also really liked Depoe Bay itself – it is a charming little town and the location suited us perfectly.
The only real downside is that there is a road between the hotel and the ocean. However, the rooms are very well soundproofed, so with the windows closed the traffic noise was not really a problem for us.

It was a very warm day but there is no AC in the room so it was quite warm all night which made it difficult to sleep. The road noise mad opening the window/patio door unacceptable.
Just as we were heading to bed, around 9pm, there was a lot of noise above us.....lots of walking back and forth from the sound of it....this continued until around 11pm....I don't know the source.
Elevator was a great bonus
Was informed when arriving that house keeping was every three days, website says House keeping was daily, left sheets and rag in room after changing, not checking body wash and hair products that need replacing, having to inform office for replacement.
The location is perfect for walking around downtown. The elevator was convenient and the balcony had a nice view of the ocean.
The breakfast was very poor and the room was warm as the fan didn’t provide much cooling.

What friendly people who run this hotel. More than anything , the friendliness of the staff is the most important element to me and many others and they are 5 star friendly .

The facilities were pretty well taken care of for this level of hotel. The fixtures worked and the paint was pretty decent. The staff member that greeted me was nice,
Not sure where everyone else stayed that rated this place, but I can tell you the ratings are way overstated in my opinion. I cancelled an Air B&B because of these high ratings...mistake. The items that were issues are noted in several other reviews but not all in one place, so here goes: first floor road noise was terrible (sliding glass door helped, but if you opened it up, it was like living by a freeway), squeaking joists from the room above allowed you to track their every step...and they stepped a lot, no A/C...but open the door and turn on the fan it cooled off quickly, low shower head (who cares, I agree), the facilities were mostly clean (sticky bathroom floor, some dirty doors, dirty ice machine, etc... ), beds were not real queens (more like a full sized), and first floor view is mostly of the street. I have nothing against these folks, just want to be honest about what I thought I was getting for $200 a night (after tax).
