Breakfast is restricted to the preprepared buffet, I asked for a poached egg and was told firmly that they do not do al la carte! So it is very limited to scrambled egg bacon beans and continental breakfast
The good thing was Adonis and Simon on reception both were great. The location is also good and a short walk to the center etc.
See above on restricting breakfast. But also the hotel is old and tired, the bathroom is honestly very small and the sink was like a small wash bowl, the complete bedroom furniture looked to be a hundred years old old and again the space even in a so called “junior suite” room was very limited. There was a Noah’s ark coffee machine we dare not touch in case it fell to pieces and there was no water provided in the room and when we asked we were told “the tap water is fine” lastly the price was high and for the price we paid we expected more amenities space etc etc. so if you are looking for a high price high value I would say in our opinion this was not the place to stay
Loved the breakfast, best “included” breakfast we’ve ever had! And the location, with parking, was great!
The breakfast offered was the best we had at any of the places we stayed in Iceland.
The staff was accomodating
This is an old hotel. The rooms are old. The carpet is old The facilities are old. It is rated 4 stars on booking but this is barely a 3 star hotel. For a 3 star hotel there are much nicer and cheaper hotels to choose from.
Was fehlte, wurde schnell nachgelegt.
I’ve stayed here a few times over the years and it hasn’t changed a great deal. Nice staff, good breakfast and a nice breakfast grab bag when I was leaving early. Excellent location and a fascinating art collection. Nice lounge areas
The tv system in the rooms needs bringing in line with modern standards. My Tv only had 4 working channels 2 with sound out of sync. I didn’t plan to watch much tv but it’s nice to catch up with the news now and then. Feels slightly overpriced compared to other downtown hotels
Well situated
Rooms need upgrading
Location was good. Close to old shopping area. Breakfast was a buffet with plenty of choices. Replenished often
Bathroom was cramped
Quiet street yet right near coffee shops and attractions
Nothing
The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood and is just a short walk to the rainbow Road , shopping, and restaurants.
