Hotel icónico en Malta en zona muy tranquila de la isla, buenas instalaciones, aunque en proceso de remodelación. Muy buen servicio de house keeping.
El personal temporal que hace que caiga el estándar de un hotel de lujo. La falta de experiencia puede mostrarse distante o poco atento. No es un asunto del hotel, pero sí de educación de los huéspedes el reservar hamacas en la piscina durante todo el día sin usarlas, o el no cuidar la higiene de menores (no es muy agradable encontrarse un excremento de un niño en el borde de la piscina).
Our entire 4-day stay was very comfortable and pleasant. The only surprise was that a 5-Star hotel's main restaurant is closed on Mon and Tuesdays, which forced us to find a nearby restaurant for dinner on 2 nights.
Our stay was very good, but that the main restaurant in a 5-star hotel is closed for dinner on Mondays and Tuesdays was a shock.

Very comfortable bed, nice room overall and beautiful building. The restaurant is great, the waiters are very friendly and very accommodating for those with a gluten intolerance. The reception staff was also friendly & helpful when needed. The restaurant by the lobby served delicious coffee and lemon cake!
Our room got locked from the inside on 2 consecutive days as the top lock was loose. Had to wait some time for that to get fixed.
You have to pre-book the spa facilities - its not great not being able to enjoy them whenever you want to..
The staff by the pool-side bar were very slow, took them a good 15 minutes to even notice I had sat down (right in front of them) to get a menu. Even when I wanted to pay, it would take them 10-15 mins to come with the bill. There were always 3+ waiters present, so I don't think this should have been a thing.
The hotel is beautiful and very peaceful. The room is very clean and the housekeeping is doing an amazing job refreshing it daily. The breakfast was incredible, and every morning we were greeted and served by probably the kindest staff we’ve ever encountered. The reception was very helpful, and kindly let us check out late as we had an evening flight. We also loved the restaurant Bahia. The Icons of Film exposition added so much to the already gorgeous interior, we loved looking at the photographs.
The pool can get busy with no lounge chairs left, and the spa no lockers left, but this is to be expected in the high season. Same goes for slow service in the café and the restaurant by the pool - the service team is nice but short on staff. We also had some issues with our room key-card not working two days in a row.

Staff were attentive and thoughtful, pool area was lovely and could mostly secure a lounger easily. The gym was excellent and air conditioned. We had a newly upgraded room which was spacious with a super king bed which was really comfortable.

Food in all the restaurants was very good but the stand our memorable element has to be the staff, friendly, knowledgeable and approachable.
This is the 4th visit to this hotel a d they manage to maintain high standards.
Although we vacated our rooms by 9am most days asking for the rooms to be serviced, on more than one occasion rooms hadn't been serviced at 4.30 in the afternoon when we returned for shower.

The sun loungers were uncomfortable, the cushions would slip off the slippery lounger base even when tied on. They were ok if lying flat but in the inclined position they were terrible
