Pros:

The staff and food was excellent.

Cons:

The room really should have a little fridge of it's own. Also the air-conditioning didn't work very well.

Convenient location
Pros:

Great location for visits to RHS Wisley and other attractions. First impressions good and friendly welcome from reception staff. Plenty of parking. It would have been a very grand building however it does require some investment. The grounds could be amazing but there were window boxes and planters full of dead plants. The outside seating areas were not inviting and everything looked very neglected. However, our room on the ground floor was big, comfortable and had excellent air conditioning. The bathroom required updating and the shower was not very powerful. We had dinner twice in the restaurant which was very good. The quality, presentation and service was of a very high standard. The breakfast buffet was also good with plenty of choice of cold and hot food. All the staff were professional, helpful and friendly.

Disappointed after looking at the reviews and website
Pros:

The grounds and facilities were nice.

Cons:

Didn't like a few things. Some of the staff attitude. The chef - we ordered several pizzas - under cooked and one never came at all. Cleaner open the bedroom door prior to check out. One of the rooms was dirty. They did try to rectify matters. Such a shame as we were a party of 7 and returning guest some of us.

This is a really lovely hotel in a great setting which, with a little more attention, could easily have been a 5* review
Pros:

This is a really lovely hotel in a great setting which, with a little more attention, could easily have been a 5* review.

Our first impressions of the hotel were of the reception staff, who were wonderfully friendly and welcoming. We had the pleasure of interacting with them a few times during our stay and each member of the team was outstanding. Our allocated room for our 2 night stay (while lovely) wasn't quite what we were expecting so reception with out quibble quickly moved us to another room. The room was huge, the bed was comfortable, and the aircon was a blessing in the intense heat.

The restaurant and bar staff were equally as friendly and professional, in fact every single member of staff that we interacted with was a credit to the hotel.

The corridors and staircases were quite grand, the oak panelling gave a such a sense of history, and although décor was neutral, it was to a high standard and aesthetically pleasing.

Now the negatives, but these are few...

Firstly, the outside terrace needed a bit of gardening work, and the furniture quality didn't quite match the rest of the hotel. And secondly, the gluten free choices for breakfast could be improved, I felt a little disadvantaged after paying the same price as everyone else. This was rectified by the wonderful reception staff, so I won't harp on about it, but it's maybe something for the hotel to look into.

Would we stay here again? Absolutely we had a fabulous stay and if we are in the area again, it will be my first choice!

Nice hotel let down by detail.
Pros:

Location, grounds and air conditioning ( it was hot!). The room was nice and comfortable apart from the comments below

Cons:

Our room had etched out windows as we were overlooking a flat roof covered in ugly ducting with the constant, but not intrusive, noise of a fan. The room wasn't serviced as evidently you don't qualify during a two night stay, even though you are charged a single night rate each night. Our bathroom sink was blocked which we reported to reception. It was never fixed. On leaving we were told there were no maintenance staff on a Sunday. That wasn't mentioned when we reported it. We should have been offered another room. It's not good enough, it was not a cheap stay.

Lovely stay with great service by all staff in a relaxing setting!
Pros:

Having the air con was fantastic - the room was so cool on arrival on such a hot day!
Staff and service was spot on and the ambience of the hotel was lovely.

Cons:

My only criticism was that the bed was too small - we had a superior room.
Also, I felt the outdoor space and patio was very neglected - maybe employ a gardener as looking out on to a patio full of weeds when dining is not the best view but overall nice hotel and would stay again.

Scenic from outside, not value for the money inside (room and service so slow)
Pros:

The Hotel itself was stunning from the outside and the green space around was beautiful. The room were big and nice, but unfortunately we went there during a heatwave and the aircon was not working at all. We were offering a replace room only at 10.00pm in the evening, which is not ideal with a small toddler, so we could not change and had to sleep with windows open. When we left the room the next day and have a replace in the room there were 30 degree. The bar and restaurant were extremely slow with the food, they served before a party coming from outside of 50 people, rather than put through the order of 2 people with a toddler, so we had the food 1.5 hours later, after asking various time. The food was very low quality and lever. Unfortunately, overall I would not recommend it, as it is a bit a waste of money, despite it looks good from outside.

Cons:

Bar and Restaurant were very slow and short of people and did not prioritise guest of the hotel, put the outside party. Also some rooms have a bit of a stink, maybe old pipes, while some others just did not have any working aircon. Would not recommend it on a heatwave and definitely not for family! This is only good for having a drink in the green scenic garden, nothing else, not for stay for sure. Also they did not offer any compensation for having to sleep a full day on a super hot room.
