Leider sehr enttäuschend für € 500,- die Nacht. Wir kommen nicht mehr.

Ich gebe normalerweise keine Bewertungen in Internetforen ab, aber diesmal wurden wir leider ziemlich enttäuscht, was ich anderen Besuchern von Cannes ersparen möchte, zumal ein Urlaub dort sehr teuer ist, und man für das viele Geld wenigstens etwas haben möchte. Ich hatte das Hotel wegen seiner zentralen Lage und als geschichtsträchtiges Haus mit einem historischen Riviera-Stil ausgesucht, da ich es von einem vorherigen kurzen Aufenthalt im Vorjahr außerhalb der Sommersaison bereits kannte , als wir ein nettes Zimmer mit Blick auf den Hafen im 4. Stock hatten. Besonders die gemütliche Bar und das gute detailreiche Frühstücksbuffet waren uns in guter Erinnerung genlieben. Das war auch diesmal unser Highlight.

Cons:

Diesmal hatte ich - da wir im Juli eine Woche lang für einen Badeurlaub angereist waren - ein größeres und teureres Zimmer mit Meerblick und Terrasse in einer vermeintlich besseren Kategorie gebucht, was sich aber leider als nachteilig erwies. Das Zimmer lag im 1.Stock. Vom Meer sahen wir von dort aus leider nichts. Es war Tag und Nacht sehr laut und wurde bis früh morgens im direkt unter dem Zimmer liegenden Restaurant laute Musik gespielt. Das Schlimmste jedoch war die absolut mangelhafte Sauberkeit! Nicht nur, dass nicht täglich richtig geputzt (WC, Waschbecken und Dusche waren ständig schmutzig) und die Bettwäsche nicht gewechselt wurde (die Handtücher schon, wenngleich sie nicht sauber, sondern grau und abgenutzt wirkten), fanden wir am ersten Tag eine wirklich grausliche Verschmutzung an der Außenseite der WC-Schüssel und am Boden darum herum vor, die trotz sofortiger Reklamation beim Concierge erst am nächsten Tag beseitigt wurde und das auch nur, weil ich das Putzpersonal persönlich und gegen Trinkgeld darum bat. Von Seiten des Hotels hat sich niemand dafür entschuldigt. Es schien überhaupt, als ob das Zimmer in die Jahre gekommen und schon länger nicht bewohnt worden wäre . Die Möbel waren abgeschlagen. In einem Kasten verbarg sich eine altmodische Kochnische mit Spüle und E-Herd-Platten wie altem Geschirr. Und bei unserer Ankunft war ein Scherengitter vor der Terrassentüre, das wir erst selbst aufschließen mussten. Auf dem Terrassentisch stand ein schmutziger Aschenbecher. Auf Grund dieser Umstände haben wir verständlicherweise nur so wenig Zeit wie nötig auf dem Zimmer verbracht, was bei Temperaturen von 40 Grad einen weiteren Nachteil darstellte.
