The best wedding anniversary ever and we've had 36!
Pros:

We were absolutely blown away by the LHP River Hotel & Spa in Florence.

From the moment we walked through the door, the welcome we received from the gentleman at reception was exceptional. That same incredible standard of warmth, care and professionalism was matched by every member of staff we encountered throughout our stay.

We were celebrating our 36th wedding anniversary, and the team went out of their way to make us feel special. After returning from a massage in the spa, we found a bottle of iced Prosecco waiting in our room. On our final day, we had to leave in the middle of the night for the airport. The hotel had prepared an enormous breakfast bag containing everything we could possibly have wanted. It was so full it was actually quite heavy! That thoughtful gesture perfectly summed up the level of care we experienced.

Quite simply, this was the best service I have ever received in any hotel.

The breakfast was also fantastic. It offered everything you would expect, but with some lovely and unusual twists that made it feel genuinely different. We looked forward to it every morning.

The location was ideal, right by the river in the Santa Croce area and just below Piazzale Michelangelo, with everything we needed within walking distance.
The hotel itself was superb, but it was the extraordinary staff who made our anniversary truly unforgettable. We have already decided that we will return for our wedding anniversary next year. We cannot recommend it highly enough.

I’d definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel.
Pros:

The staff was very helpful. We were able to find parking across the street every night. The breakfast was delicious. The room was big and comfortable. The bathroom was big and the shower had great pressure and plenty of hot water.

Cons:

It was a great location for having a car because it was outside of the ZTL and easy access to the highway but it was a distance away from the historic center and so the long walks were hard at the end of the day especially being able to drop stuff off at the hotel during the day was a pain. But, we knew where it was located when we booked so we know what we signed up for.
