Hotel Columbus

El cuarto se pone muy caliente y con solo un ventilador no es suficiente. Es lo único, por lo demás esta bien.

Das Nichtraucher-Zimmer war offensichtlich kein Nichtraucher Zimmer. Es fehlt an einer großen Deckenlampe für helleres Licht im ganzen Raum. Die Toilettenspülung lief ziemlich langsam nach, sehr ungünstig wenn man zu dritt auf einem Zimmer ist und sich ein Bad teilt.

The location is incredibly unsafe without proper security between the road and the room. The hotel gave us one room with a shared bathroom even though we had booked 2 separate rooms (one with 2 beds and one with a double bed). We did not stay at the property, and the hotel manager was incredibly rude and refused to refund us even partially even though the site said he could. Honestly this place is a scam and booking.com let us down very badly. Book a place closer to the airport and take the trains into the city.

Leider scheint in der Nähe eine Disko zu sein, die bis morgens um 6 Uhr laut war. Selbst bei geschlossenem Fenster drang der Lärm ins Zimmer. Ich bin davon immer wieder aufgewacht. Außerdem war der Preis für ein Hotel dieser Klasse etwas hoch, was wahrscheinlich an einer gerade stattfindenden Messe lag.

TV-Gerät nicht nutzbar, keine Hilfe vom Service verfügbar. Treppen extrem schmal und steil, auf Fahrstuhl wartet man ewig (mehrere Minuten)

Unfortunately, the cleanliness was really disappointing. The TV and mirror were covered in some kind of white stains, and there were even some hairpins lying on the floor. The bathroom was very dusty, and the walls were visibly dirty.

There was no proper main light in the room. There was a fan, but it was extremely dusty and clearly hadn’t been cleaned for a very long time. When we turned it on, all the dust started flying around the room and directly onto us.

After the first night, I woke up with several bites on my body. I’m not sure what caused them, but there were almost no mosquitoes around, so I was concerned that they might have been caused by something in the bed.

The breakfast was also very disappointing. There was very little choice, and the cheese and cold cuts looked dried out. The milk was expired as well. We told a member of staff about it, and he simply said that he had forgotten to replace the milk.

The hotel also advertised soundproof rooms, but there was basically no soundproofing at all. We could hear everything people were saying in the neighboring room and in the hallway, which made it very difficult to sleep and get proper rest.

Overall, the location, elevator, and staff were the only real positives. Unfortunately, because of the poor cleanliness, noise, and disappointing breakfast, I would not stay here again.
