Pros:

Staff and breakfast.

Cons:

Bed comfort level was low. Bathroom was like a cruise ship. For the price I expected it to be less than what we usually stay in, but we have decided to not stay there again.

The bed was comfy, bathroom small and food terrible.
Pros:

The accommodation was comfortable, although the bathroom being a cubicle is quite small.

Cons:

Although the Ibis Hotel advertises its restaurant as an option to dine in, the food was terrible. My first preference was a vegetarian lasagne but it had already run out before Friday. My second option, Beef Stroganoff, the meat was tough and unable to be cut and I sent it back. My third option was fish and chips, too many chips, the salad was old - wilted and contained old yellow leaves with just a few cherry tomatoes mixed in. If the hotel is offering a restaurant, and I think a Friday and Saturday would be a peak time for people to dine in, the food needs to be brought up to standard. The breakfast buffet was OK.

Value for money for a short stay in the surrounding area.
Pros:

For a 2-night stay, the room was comfortable enough for our purposes. It was also close to the event we were attending.

Cons:

The toilet/bath required a step up and down. Quite risky for an arthritic person like me. The bed had only two pillows, one each for my husband and me. The breakfast was quite average and had very little selection offered.

Very comfortable and well maintained.

Okay for a night or two
Pros:

The bed was comfortable. The location was close to Maccas, and not too far from the train station. The staff were friendly.

Cons:

I’d paid for a 2 x Queen room and was given a 1 x Queen room, only to be told they don’t have 2 x Queen rooms. I was switched to a 2 x single room on the 4th floor. The entire level smelt like someone had been smoking pot. Also, it’s $10 extra for parking. There was a humming sound like an air conditioner that we could hear from another room, at 1am.

Excellent breakfast. Superbly friendly and efficient staff. Superb cleanliness.

Cons:

A handle on the entrance to the bathroom would be good for older people, as you have to step up/down from the bedroom to the bathroom
