Not bad for a mid prize, hotel option, but with a little extra effort could elevate the property as

Loved the location and perfect access to the beach.
Pros:

The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

There was a soiled bathing suit liner left on the balcony from a previous guest, ick! The bottom of the tub looked very dingy. The doorknob to our bathroom was old and rusty. The windows facing the beach were dirty, obviously not cleaned for a while. All of these reasons made us feel as though this Marriott property was substandard to others where we’ve stayed. We visit Virginia Beach annually, mostly to celebrate birthdays or our wedding anniversary. We made the front desk aware that we were celebrating our 49th anniversary during our stay; no mention of it during our stay from any of the staff. This was a first.

The staff and location were excellent.

Cons:

Could use more carts for luggage. The room was clean but could use a refresh. If not servicing rooms daily a few extra towels would be nice.

Starbucks on site…calm quiet peaceful north end…close to beach…very friendly staff…quick elevator

Cons:

Expensive beverages…no gift shop..mold dripping from rock waterfall outside…rooms could’ve been cleaner…plastic pvc pipes for balcony gate…tight parking

Hotels with ocean front view that doesn't have the same quality as the Marriott, have complimentary breakfast and free parking your rooms aren't cheap I wish the Marriott had complimentary breakfast and free parking covered in the price per-night would be more acceptable.

I booked through booking.com a third party booking agency. I was under the impression breakfast and parking was included in the price we paid to stay at your lovely establishment.

Thanks to Megan who helped us with our parking issues, but not the complimentary breakfast issue. Megan approved complimentary parking.

It was an outstanding vacation spot that met or exceeded our expectations.
Pros:

Outdoor pool was the best on the beach. The room was perfect with a spectacular view, including 2 fireworks nights. The beach made it a dream vacation as it was awesome.

Cons:

The restaurant food choices were very limiting, so it was hard to choose the hotel restaurant as a place to dine.

Disappointed
Cons:

The bathroom floor wasn’t clean. The soap dispenser in the shower ran out of soap. The television did not work. The mgr came by and fixed it once, however the next day the television went out again. Very frustrating!

Pros:

The room was nice

Cons:

There wasn’t any ice downstairs in the lobby.
Keys kept getting deactivated and we were locked out of the room multiple times. Inconvenient.
