We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Belair. The hotel gave us an unforgettable experience of Sorrento. The breathtaking views, the atmosphere, the beautiful location, the cleanliness and the wonderful service made our stay truly special. Waking up to that incredible view every morning was simply magical. The staff were warm, welcoming and attentive, and we felt very well taken care of throughout our stay. This hotel was not just a place to sleep – it became a big part of our Sorrento experience, and I’m so happy we chose it. I would definitely come back.

Newly refurbished - everything works perfectly, spotlessly clean, food on the balcony for breakfast with a view over the sea and views from the room stunning. Live music in the bar in the evenings
This did not bother us however, if you struggle with stairs the hotel is on the side of the cliff over 6 floors - there is a lift but it is slow. It is much quicker to walk.

No additional showers for guests with late flights (check-out time is 12pm). As a courtesy, the reception did extend a (free) 1pm check-out, but it still cut our afternoon by the pool very short.
Separately, taxis are a contentious issue in Sorrento. The local taxi firms appear to charge a minimum fare of €30 for almost every journey, even when the destination is only a 5-10 minute drive away. While the hotel does provide a complimentary one-way shuttle service into town (and collection from the partner beach club in Marina Grande - subject to availability), guests are then left to arrange and pay for their return journey.
A complimentary shuttle service for guests during their stay, or at the very least to/from the ferry port would therefore be a very welcome addition to the hotel’s services. Given the apparent lack of competition among local taxi providers, and the resulting high minimum fares, providing this additional service would offer guests a more convenient and cost-effective way of travelling to and from the hotel.

The Belair is a very nice hotel with a superb view of the Sorrento bay and the Vesuvio.
The amenities are high class as is the staff.

Rooms with balconies are really amazing.
Breakfast is an experience in itself ! First the view, second the cold buffet which is out of this world and they offer all the warm stuff off a menu, included if you booked it that way.
The pool is beautiful and maintained at 29C, perfect ! Especially when it’s 35C outside.
A nice and healthy walk will take you to the heart of Sorrento in about 15’ (going downhill) and 20’ uphill. It lands you directly on the Corso Italia with all the activites. Sorrento is a magnificent town, the Belair is up to the task, but at a price. Less than many 5-star Grand Hotels in the center of town, but the view is better.
After many years at a competing hotel by Piazza Tasso (too expensive), we switched to the Belair and we’ll definitely come back.

Walking to downtown by 35C outside is excruciating ! And it’s still 32C by 9 pm…
A taxi to do the one mile down or up is 20€ which is highway robbery! (Minimum fee they say !) a tourist trap.
We loved everything! The room and balcony were exceptional! The views were beautiful!
The gym was bad. We both love to workout and it only had a treadmill, bike, one bench, 3 sets of low weights and a weight machine. It really needs more and needs AC in it as well.
