An oasis of quiet in the heart of the city.
Pros:

I chose this hotel because the rooms were supposed to be quiet, and they were! I didn't hear street noise and I barely heard a thing from the hallway or neighboring rooms. It was fantastic. The staff are also incredibly helpful and friendly, especially Emily -- make her a manager, she's already functioning like one! The location was also excellent, close to Waterloo station, lots of buses, and an easy walk to South Bank, both Tate museums, Charing Cross, Soho, Parliament.

Cons:

Be aware the room does not have a mini-fridge, so you won't be able to store leftovers. On the plus side, there's a hallway area on each floor where you can make tea and instant coffee and even sit on a small terrace. There's also free coffee in the lobby, and a great cafe (Calico) two doors down.

Es war ein toller Aufenthalt.
Pros:

wir fanden die zentrale Lage und das Frühstück sehr gut. Es war für UK Verhältnisse sehr gut.

Cons:

Das man die Fenster nicht öffnen konnte und wir noch Milchglasfenster hatten, so konnten wir nicht rausschauen. Hatten das Gefühl unter der Erde zu sein mit künstlichem Licht. Was nicht so war. Das Gefühl, dass man abhängig von der Lüftungsanlage ist, war vor allem in der ersten Nacht schon etwas mulmig.

Friendly welcome on Waterloo's doorstep
Pros:

After our train out of Waterloo was cancelled and other services heavily disrupted, we decided to book a hotel nearby and extend our holiday for a night. We chose Ruby Lucy, and couldn't have been happier with our choice.
As soon as we entered the door we were greeted warmly by the bar staff, who continued to chat with us while we completed the self check-in process.
The room was fresh, comfortable and clean, and the hotel is in a vibrant neighbourhood with multiple options for eating and drinking.
And it was right on Waterloo's doorstep for our train home the next morning.
Thanks to all the team - we hadn't heard of you before but we will be using and recommending Ruby hotels in the future!

Great Find, good if you need to be slap back in central
Pros:

It’s a little gem in a good location. It’s not perfect but they have made an effort to create character and atmosphere. Rooms are of a good quality for the price.

Cons:

If the rooms had just a little upgrade in amenities and feel they could charge a lot more per night. It needs to bring some of the feel the communal areas have into the rooms.

Pros:

Die Lage ist top, 2 Ubahn Station in der Nähe, u.a. Waterloo Station. Tolles junges Team, alle immer freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück ist für Londoner Verhältnisse super, auch der Kaffee. Tagsüber sehr beliebt, Abends aber ruhig. In der Gegend gibt es viele Restaurants.
