Bel hôtel mais un rapport qualité/prix plutôt décevant

La décoration intérieure et l'histoire de l'hôtel

Cons:

Chambre assez petite avec un "grand" lit double dont la largeur du matelas était proche de 1,60m,
A notre arrivée en voiture, le personnel devant l'hôtel nous a juste indiqué l'emplacement du parking sans vraiment nous aider.
Rapport qualité/prix un peu décevant par rapport à d'autres hôtels en plein centre-ville

Very nice city hotel with great restaurant
Pros:

I spent 2 nights in this hotel before and after my trip to Tortuguero. I have stayed in this hotel before and returned as I remembered it as a nice, small colonial type hotel. I was not disappointed on this visit. The staff is really nice and helpful. The rooms are clean, the bathroom bright, the bed comfortable and they store your suitcase for you if you go on 2-Day excursion and come back. They also prepared a nice breakfast box for me as I left before the normal breakfast hours. They also have a great restaurant in house which is worth a visit.

Beautiful property and our room was lovely. Very friendly staff.

Cons:

The restaurant was significantly over priced. For example, a Coke Zero, a large sparking water, and two glass of entry level cab was $60.00 USD. The bottle of sparkling water alone was $12.00. A ok dinner for two with apps, mains, dessert and three glasses of wine was $260.00 before tip.

A stylish and quaint space in San Jose
Pros:

The hotel was so quaint and stylish and every day we came back to the property made us feel special as the property itself. We had stayed there 28 years ago and it brought back amazing memories of our first trip to Costa Rica. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and the pancakes were exactly as we remembered them, which is why we returned, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to spend a couple of days in San Jose.
