Perry's Ocean-Edge Resort

Not a great experience . These folks are very rude and say what they really feel . First off the they treated a customer who booked a stay for ocean view and got a street view when they came to check in . Than they told him that’s because he was cheap and cheaper them out that’s why he got the street view and not the ocean view they said besides that it’s turtle mating seasons and who wants to see that . Well we do he said . Plus he rented three rooms which should mean I need three parking spots and only get one . Anyone who doesn’t have a parking pass will be towed . I don’t understand what happened to this place it use to be very pleasant to come here but the people at the desk have no manners and are not being disciplined enough. Believe you me I wouldn’t come here if we weren’t invited to a birthday party for friends and family . You all should be ashamed of you attitudes toward your guests .

Perry's Ocean Edge Resort is a lovely hotel directly on Daytona Beach. We had a suite in the North Tower. It included 2 king-sized beds, a full bathroom, a dressing room, a living room and a kitchen with dining table (stove, over, microwave, full refrigerator) and a fantastic balcony.
You cannot beat the price per night for such a room and right on the beach.
The hotel was clean inside and out. The stairwells are poorly lit when used in the daytime. I would not use them at night. There is no noise in your room. No traffic noise, no airport noise.
The service is top-notch. The staff at Perry's is great. They are friendly and extremely helpful.
This time during our stay, they had the breakfast buffet open. It is a very nice restaurant-type room in the South Tower, 2nd floor. Parking is plentiful.
There was a Winn Dixie directly across the street. But it is currently (as of May 2026) being converted into an Aldi's. It should be open before Summer's end. We bought our groceries at the Dollar Store about a minute north of the hotel. There is also a 7-Eleven and a i-Hop across the street. We hardly had to drive our rental car anywhere to get supplies.
The best part of Perry's is the lawn with easy access to the beach. It has 2 pools (South and North tower). There is also a heated pool inside the South tower with a hot tub. The patio chairs/tables each have their own concrete foundation to sit upon (in 2023 they sat on the grass). The sidewalks have been redone nicely. The Tiki Hut still stands between the 2 towers. Plenty of areas to sit on the lawn (some tables have grills).
I would recommend Perry's to anyone. We have looked for other hotels in Daytona Beach that have full kitchens, living rooms, balconies right on the beach and have yet to find one.

Daughter goes to college in Daytona Beach when we help her move in and out of the dorm, we always stay at Perry's on the Ocean with an Oceanfront Room. 3 Pools, onsite Tiki Bar, fresh donuts and coffee in the morning, free parking. The staff really stands out, always willing to help, happy to be there. Perry's is a pleasant place to stay, if you are looking for a 5-star resort, look elsewhere, but if you are looking for a solid place on the beach at a great price then give Perry's a try!
