Price was a bit high
Absolutely gorgeous hotel and the location cannot be beat. The staff at check-in was exceptional and very welcoming especially Francisco.
We were in a bind and had to find a last-minute stay and we were fortunate to find this hotel.
Impeccably decorated from the entrance through the restaurant to the lobby and the room. Very funky, cool hallways as well as the door numbers.
Highly recommend staying! Once again the staff was incredible as we received a beautiful welcoming email from the general manager who made a note of our situation and wished us belated happy birthdays. We had an early morning flight and needed a taxi to the airport. One was called within minutes and we joked about the super quick service.
Having never been to Madrid, I would say I equate it to a stay in New York City. It was above the budget we intended to spend, especially for a short day and a half visit of the city. But for all of the elegance and proximity to the Prado Museum, walkability and feeling safe, it constitutes the nightly rate.
The breakfast buffet was subpar. It was beautifully displayed but some hot items were not and focused too much on tapas style.
For the bathroom, it would have been better if it was a pocket door as the regular door barely clears the toilet making it a little cramped.

Breakfast was very good even for people who have to eat gluten free. Room was soundproof and the location of hotel perfect if you want to walk to most of the museums and to the train station.
This is the second time I’ve stayed at this hotel. The staff are absolutely brilliant. In my opinion, it’s the best place to stay in Madrid – very convenient. The breakfasts are incredible.
