FERGUS Style Bahamas

Good location, 20 minutes from the airport and only a 10 mins walk from lots of shops, bars, restaurants and some clubs. Due to location, it is in the flight path, but this didn't bother us.

Good atmosphere, family and couple friendly, wasn't lots of rowdy young people. Evening entertainment was good, some very talented live singers. Reception gets very busy and always seemed to have long queues.

Rooms were basic, no tea and coffee facilities in room. Bathroom could do with a major upgrade, tiles broken and mouldy grout, and mouldy ceiling tiles. Hairdryer is also not powerful so I'd suggest taking your own. Rooms were okay cleanliness wise but not the best. The bed is two camp style beds pushed together which weren't the comfiest.

Buffet was bang average, only a small selection I thought but generally you'd be able to find something you like. There are no al acarte restaurants so if you are here for a week it would probably get very boring. Snack bar was very samey, serving burgers, hot dogs, toasties and chips. They only give X2 alcoholic drinks per person at a time, and as usual it's the own brand alcohol, but you can upgrade to premium drinks, for a price.

Areas around the hotel looks like it could do with sprucing up, such as the reception area and the snack bar. I would say this hotel is more like a 3* rather than 4*.

Overall a good stay, would be disappointed if I stayed for more than 4 nights though. Staff are friendly and helpful, but I wouldn't recommend or return to this hotel.

We have just returned from a 1 week all inclusive stay at Fergus style Bahamas. The food was excellent and we had a wide choice for breakfast, lunch and evening. The staff were amazing from being welcomed with a smile at recption, to eating and sleeping in stunningly clean hotel areas. There was a lady there all day to help organise any trips or car hire and she had brilliant advice on which trips would suit our family and the best prices. There was a full range of ages staying and it was good to see young people enjoying life with music but you could also find many places that were quiet away from the pool. Another big bonus was at the bottom of the hotel you could walk straight on to the beach.

Gloria at the lounge bar was full of energy and very friendly and cheerful! Very fast, efficient service. She also makes an amazing Whisky Sour! Highly recommended!

We stayed in room 1020 at a cost of £200 for one night the room the aircon was not working. The tv was not working and the room was full of damp and during the night the upstairs water leaked in our room it’s great location but not a 4 star hotel

Muy bien ubicado, al lado de Ushuahia.

Stayed here for one week. 2 adults 2 kids. Rooms are basic not a 4* standard. Was cleaned daily however, not once was our bedding changed. Just sheets pulled over and fresh towels put in our room. You habe to get up to get a sunbed early if you require a bed around the pool, otherwise there is plenty of bed at the back end of the hotel but you wouldnt be near the bar of hear the music playing. A dj comes twice a week but a family hotel (supposedly) it was just house music playing not a mix. Cocktails are pre made in just so just like juice very poor. Only 2 drink at a time allowed. Entertainment really poor. Kids mini disco lasted around 25 mins then after that nothing happening for the kids. No park on site for children. Kids club 10.30 til 1pm just a room to be honest where they can do colouring in. No other entertainment for kids during the day. No dances or anything. The standard water polo, aqua arobics and darts but more for adults. Food was ok! Again poor variaty for children. Location is not great. Nearest shop for a basic bottle of water is 10/15 min walk. And u get hassled walking down (wont say anymore what I was being ask to by) not hotels fault obviously but just a warning if u wanna walk down the small strip there is. Would not go back to this hotel and I would also not reccomend it. Its not a 4* and considering its a family hotel more things need to be happening for children. Staff I found quite rude also!!
