The way it was before it was taken over.
The new owners, operators have let it go down hill, cobwebs in the restaurant, gardens and grounds let go and weeds on the balcony’s of the rooms.
Nice place room was nice too would definitely return
Was expensive but would definitely return
The hotel is like a 3 in one you arrive and you see it looks like a motel and I had booked a 2 bedroom suite which was excellent outside needs cleaning on the patio arethere was bird poo and really couldn't use it but we were only staying one night inside was done to an excellent standard just needed some nice touches coasters mats and mire cooking utensils in the kitchen area as the suite was more like a little 2 bedroom cottage which was behind the first building and then there is a manor and grounds very large excellently kept were you can walk around we read 35 acres there's a parish chapel and a pool spa facility and we had a pass to use till 11 am of our departure day it was the only place were they had anything that was for children in the whole hotel a 2 hour slot were they could use the pool 9.am to 11 am.
After booking in we went to the bar which is in the New building which looks like a motel this area was clean and quiet we decided to eat in the restaurant. I would say it isnt child friendly we were waiting for a long time the person behind the bar walked past us and after some time we managed to ask a waitress and chose a table their was no children's menu or drinks but they was happy to make us something for my grandson. Their wasnt many staff and we waited a while to order and a bottle of wine with our meal. While we were waiting for our meal my daughter felt something on her leg an ant and my son in law was bitten and he looked and there was ants on the floor and wall i went to a waitress and discreetly asked to move and told her why and when we moved off the carpet to the conservatory part they were also here but not as many. It probably didnt help as the floor wasn't clean my grandson wasn't very happy about the ants and was telling all the staff.
The food was ok a set menu and a small menu to choose from no children's content menu, for dessert they brought 1 cheesecake and ice cream for my grandson which they said was free for us but there was 4 of us (didnt understand this) I personally wouldn't eat in there again as not value for money or clean and staff notvvery helpful need customer care training my grandson couldnt stop talking about the ants all night
👍
Venue was beautiful.
Carpet was very grubby, skeleton staff, limescale around bath n shower - easily removed with a good scrub tbh, grounds need some major love and attention, and the guy on breakfast duty who spoke soooo quietly really needs to speak up. Reminded me of the girl on pitch perfect!
Nothing
Everything
Hotel room was lovely. Swimming pool was fantastic. The grounds were amazing lovely walk. Staff were brilliant very polite and really helpful.
The restaurant was too warm both nights we had dinner. Second night we wanted dessert but couldn’t stay with the heat no more. Small menu.
Hotel charged me twice and despite stating will refund within 24 hours no reply, customer service number is an AI bot and unable to resolve issue. Still awaiting a call back!!
Helpful staff, spa facilities
Building tired and needs lots of maintenance
Miss sold this hotel not what is on booking got charged extra for use of pool and also a fried egg
Room food service clean
Great hotel for the price, very spacious 2 bed apartment. Clean, comfortable beds. Children loved the swimming pool
The price of food, and breakfast. Would be great to see children's prices cheaper than the adults or even a deal where a child eats free with a paying adult,
