Pros:

The area was verry nice

Cons:

Expensive for what it is, one Asian chap i belive the owner or manager on his phone having a verry loud public conversation was verry off putting while my wife and I had food, one of the waitresses didn't speak verry good English but gave it a good go so good on her.

Character property, spacious grounds for walking with friend staff and a lovely place to stay
Pros:

The Hall was amazing in itself. The property was very luxurious and the conversion to hotel had been done very nicely.
The grounds are well kept and very spacious.
The Spa was amazing and the treatments were very relaxing.
We really enjoyed our stay and staff were very friendly.

Cons:

The bed springs were a little bit harsh in comparison to other hotel stays but the furniture and fittings were in keeping with the character of the property. A new mattress would have been preferred.

Lovely location, hotel could be special, however the lack of staff and cleanliness let it down!
Cons:

The room allocated to me was not cleaned so I had to go to reception and they gave me another.
There was a balcony but the doors would not open and there was no window to open.
I waited at the bar for over 20 min before someone came and served me

Excellent hotel with all the amenities that you need for a weekend stay with a dog.
Pros:

Good sized room with a comfortable bed. Shower was a little weak and as usual set around 5f10 to 6f in the bath, when I am 6f3, but am not living in the shower and the water was wet and warm.

Room access panels were good, once I had worked out how to get them to light up.

Large field in which to walk the dog.

Cons:

As the shower was in the bath, I would recommend more handrails to get out of it as sooner or later (or it has already happened) somebody is going to slip getting out of the bath/shower.

Pros:

Lovely location, friendly staff. Nice room and shower. 11am checkout.

Cons:

Booked through booking.com, expected pool to be included, but an extra £24 for the 2 of us for less than an hour was too much, so we didn't bother.

Only overnight but very comfortable stay
Pros:

Very comfortable stay

Cons:

Would be great to have a stool in the large bathroom to put a toiletry bag on as needed to place clothes and bags on the floor. There is a small mirror cabinet.

Cons:

Poor staff, not friendly. One staff member on bar with queue of 10, slow and expensive. Room stifling and bed hard.

Appalling Stay
Pros:

Nothing about this we liked and couldn't wait to leave.

Cons:

Service bad to get drink we gave up.
Unkempt grounds
Spa known that we had to oay for was not worth the money.
Price we paid was not correct for the services we did not receive.
Short of staff with bad service skills
Rubbish left around stunning main building.
Will never recommend.
Our room was clean but the grounds and place shocking and ukempt.
Food was not worth the money and was on the cheap icecream i think was from Iceland!

We had drunk party people in room next door as well kept us awake.
