Smoking in hotel’s building is strictly prohibited, any room found to have been smoked in is subject to a cleaning fees of no less than THB 5,000. Smoking cannabis is strictly prohibited anywhere within the hotel premises.
Please note that Carlton Club Lounge benefits include a complimentary daily buffet breakfast at Plate Restaurant from 6:00 am to 10:30 am, complimentary nonalcoholic beverages throughout the day, and pre-dinner beverages with canapés from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm (last order 7:45 pm). Alcohol is not served to guests under 20 years of age or to intoxicated guests.

The Location was great, in the center of Bangkok, within a walking distance from both MRT and BTS stations, and shopping malls and many stores. The rooms are great, cleaned well, with a high quality feeling.
I'm glad that we also booked this hotel for when we return to Bangkok in a few days, as it was amazing.

The Carlton is a modern, well-presented hotel in an excellent location. The rooms were spacious, very clean and comfortable, and the hotel was a great base for exploring Bangkok. There are plenty of restaurants, cafés and shopping centres within walking distance, with both the BTS and MRT nearby.
The pool is large and has four very comfortable cabanas. The poolside bar was excellent, with friendly staff and plenty of food and drink choices. The pool facilities were also impressive, with bathrooms, showers, lockers and a steam room.
The rooftop bar was another highlight, with great views, a really nice atmosphere and delicious cocktails. Overall, the service throughout the hotel was friendly and professional, and we really enjoyed the location and facilities.
There were only a few things that could be improved. Apart from the four cabanas, the pool seating consists of reclining loungers without cushions. They become quite uncomfortable after sitting on them for an hour or so, and cushions would make a big difference.
I also noticed significant warping in the pool decking. Having worked in construction for many years, it appears the decking has been poorly installed and will probably require replacement at some point. It doesn't significantly affect the stay, but it is noticeable and surprising for a hotel of this standard.
We also tried the Chinese restaurant. The food was decent, but we found it quite expensive compared with the many excellent dining options available within a short walk of the hotel. For the price, we would probably choose to eat elsewhere next time.
The ambience is cool, casual luxury. The swimming pool area is absolutely fabulous. There are only limited number of lounge chairs, but you can still find a seat further back. The staff is superb as you would expect.
