The breakfast provided with the stay in the pub next door was terrible. The service was grudging and the food was substandard.
Location of the hotel is good.
The hotel is centrally located, which is a positive point, but the noise from outside was a serious disadvantage. There was loud noise until around midnight, and because the window insulation was not good, the noise could be heard clearly in the room until almost 1 a.m.
The room was generally clean, but unfortunately I cannot say the same for the toilet.
Another major issue was the shower. The water was constantly very hot, and the temperature control did not work properly.
Also, although I had selected a double bed online, when I arrived at the hotel I saw that two single beds had simply been pushed together. Since there was a gap/division between them and it was not one proper bed, it felt more like sleeping in a single bed rather than a real double bed.
In addition, one of the windows did not have a blackout curtain. As a result, too much light entered the room, which made it difficult to fall asleep at night.
Considering all these issues, the hotel was far below my expectations for the price paid. For the facilities and comfort provided, the price was definitely too high.
Fantastic location and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable about goings on and ways to get about.
In the middle of many bars and restaurants and short walk to historical tourist areas.
Plumbing was chaotic. Sometimes showers would be hot or not and sometimes scalding or cool.
Free cappuccino in the lobby was great but occasional bad milk spoiled the morning.

I know one pays a lot for a great location but the hotel room was very basic and extremely small. Two out of three nights the restaurant next door sounded like they were banging around kegs or trash cans before 7:00 am. Other than sliding them under the bed there was absolutely no place for even one suitcase other than the floor meaning it had to be stepped over to move anywhere in the room
