Very nice hotel, very clean and comfortable room. Breakfast offering is very good with a range of options, evening meal was good but some items a little lukewarm.
The location is ideal for the old town just a short walk away.
Came with friends for cheltenham week.
Upon checkin, the room, We found was too small for 3 adults. They moved us free of charge, no questions asked.
Extremely helpful receptionist. The hotel is in a very quiet location, away from the hussle and bustle but only a short walk away.. the hotel are happy to call a taxi if required.
Room was lovely and clean, towels refreshed daily. Shower was hot with plenty of water pressure, beds comfy and nice squishy pillows. Mini fridge in room, and toiletries provided.
The breakfast was tasty and plentiful, and there was always somewhere to sit down. The tables were leared as soon as we had finished.
The pool area was clean and tidy, the pool isn't heated though so is very cold. The pool bar also wasn't open.
All in all, a very enjoyable stay, even though the weather was rubbish.
Thanks so much.
See you next time :)
The hotel is very clean and well kept. On arrival we were upgraded to a large family room on the 9th floor. The hotel staff are very helpful and the cleaners do a great job everyday. There is an indoor pool and steam room which is 8 euros for 2hrs (there is a gym but it’s mainly cardio machines). We found the hotel very quiet and was not disturbed during the night.
Location - the hotel is in a perfect location, 5 minute walk and your at the food square nice bars and places to eat. 10 minute walk into old town and the same to the beach front.
Rooms - we had 2 large beds. A balcony with a decent view, flat screen tv, fridge tea and coffee, kettle, black out blinds, full size mugs, the bathroom had a modern shower, hairdryer and clean towels every day. WiFi was very fast and the tv had 10 uk channels including movies and news, there was no iron or ironing board, the heating / cooling in the room was and old system and heated up nice but didn’t really work on the cooling setting. Plenty of hangers in the wardrobe and the bed and pillows were very comfy.
Food - we had bed and breakfast and the choice was very good, there was something for everyone and the quality of food was also really good.
The only thing to note staying at this hotel is if you get a normal coach transfer the buses don’t go up the street and instead drop you at the Poseidon hotel which you then have to walk up hill approx 200 meters to the princesa.
All in all a real nicely presented hotel in a good location with helpful staff. We will be staying here again when we next visit Benidorm.
Love the hotel, everything about it. Unfortunately the bar is very poor, ignore customers, preferential service to certain guests. The bar let's the whole hotel down
This was our 7th stay at the Princesa and as usual it was excellent. My only complaint is the smoking situation, they really need to make it clear where the smoking area is as people were smoking at tables that had no smoking signs on and when challenged, said they could smoke anywhere they wanted. The staff are fantastic especially Diego, Jorge and Marina behind the bar. The restaurant has had a little makeover since we were there last year with new tables and chairs which are much better, we think the Princesa is the best hotel in Benidorm and we are back there again in the summer.
I recently stayed at Hotel Princesa with my family in February and wanted to share an honest review of our experience.
Firstly, the hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. There was one gentleman on reception in particular who was exceptionally helpful and professional — unfortunately, I didn’t catch his name, but he really stood out and made a positive impression on us.
The rooms were immaculately clean every single day. Housekeeping did a fantastic job, and we couldn’t fault the cleanliness throughout our stay.
Our biggest disappointment, however, was the indoor swimming pool situation. We specifically booked this hotel because it was advertised as a “family hotel” and it had an indoor pool — which was very important to us travelling with young children in February. Unfortunately, we were told it cost €8 per person, per day to use the pool. For our family of four, that meant €32 per day, and children weren’t even allowed to use it until 4pm — by which time they were already tired. Essentially, we were paying €32 for around 45 minutes of swimming.
We found this extremely disappointing. For a hotel marketed as family-friendly, especially during winter months when the outdoor pool isn’t an option, there really should be free access to the indoor pool for children especially when the time is limited.
Overall, while the staff and cleanliness were excellent, the additional pool charges and restrictions significantly impacted our experience.
Great location to all amenities, restaurants and bars.rooms slightly small with limited storage but well presented. Breakfast was 10/10 lunchtime and evening meals we're a bit hit and miss.spa is great and bar areas are welcoming plenty of lifts plus a decent games room overall a good hotel with pleasant staff.
This hotel was beyond our expectations for the price.
We arrived at 1 in the morning and were given a food bag of sandwiches, cakes and fruit although we were only booked for Bed and breakfast. So thoughtful.
Room was clean and spacious with a lovely bathroom and large walk in shower.
Tea and coffee and water supplied. Plenty of lifts available (16 floors).
Breakfast was buffet style with everything you could want, English, Spanish or Continental.
Situated just 10 minutes walk from the coast but far enough not to hear noise.
Excellent hotel!
Great for Kids— Good Entertainment!
Overall: 4/5
We had a fantastic stay at RH Princessa. It’s exceptionally clean, and the staff are incredibly friendly across the board.
The Highlights:
Kids' Facilities: Great for children! Includes trampolines, a bouncy castle, soft play, mini-golf, and a football court all free. And the mini club with different activities and computer games.
Entertainment Team: Absolutely brilliant. They were all so friendly and so encouraging that my son—who was initially too shy to join in—ended up loving the games and the mini-disco. It was wonderful to see his confidence grow!
Rooms: Good size and kept to a very high standard.
Points to Note:
Pools: The outdoor pool was good. The indoor pool is a good alternative but note the 1-hour limit, 4 PM entry for kids, and the requirement for swim hats.
Food & Drink: Great drink selection and service. The food was nice but could be repetitive; sometimes the variety was a bit limited (e.g., the same fruit daily or meat with no accompanying veg).
Location: It's located up a slight hill, and the transfer dropped us off a bit further down the street at a different hotel.
But the beach and bars, shops close.
Summary: Perfect for families who want to keep the kids busy and happy.
Great hotel and staff, rooms were cleaned daily beds are very comfy and our room was very spacious.
Excellent location if you dont mind a walk.
Games room, mini club and outdoor play area is a great hit for the child, 100/10 for the anamations team absolute brilliant staff.
This is our 5th visit in 4 years and we are booked to come back in October and next February
Spotlessly clean hotel, rooms cleaned & all linens changed daily. Comfortable beds with a choice of pillows & more provided on request. Nice modern bathroom with a waterfall shower. Ninth floor pool view room gave sea glimpses from the balcony. Excellent food, always hot. Indoor pool nice & warm.
Up a slight hill, slightly Levante side of old town. 10 min stroll to beach. Evening entertainment was aimed at an older audience, definitely 70+; lots of ballroom dancing to 'Tie a yellow ribbon' & similar. Not a problem for us as plenty of local bars with more modern music & dancing.
Tip....Take earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Banging room doors & loud tvs can be an issue at night.
Fabulous reception staff couldn’t do enough for you.
Especially Eva, above and beyond to help us today.
We arrived very late and were pleased to find a bag each of food left in our room for our arrival . Room was comfortable and kept very clean and tidy throughout our stay. The food is excellent, we ate very well each day. We thought the animation in the evening was of a good standard but maybe a little dated for us. Our only criticism is the brandy offered to all inclusive customers. It was awful, we have stayed in other hotels and never encountered such a bad brandy. We did mention this during our stay to your lovely customer service lady.
We love the location of the hotel, very central but still a quiet street, only a short walk to the beach, old town and bus services. We will definitely return, thank you to all the staff for a lovely holiday
Our first stay at this hotel and won't be our last ..We stayed for 28 nights .Lovely clean hotel ,.cleaning staff never stop ,always smells lovely walking in the hotel .We didn't want the maid cleaning up after us ,,(we put a do not disturb on our door ,we are capable of making our own beds) and Keeping our room tidy . She has enough to do .but she was always asking if we required anything .Very friendly reception team who try their best to accommodate you. They tried to get us a seaview room on higher floors ,but as the work men would be working above these rooms during our long stay ,they decided on a lower pool view room ( hopefully next visit we will be able to have a higher room ? ) Staff in the restaurant all very friendly with fabulous food. Location is great ( 5 minutes walk into old town ) Can't wait to return
Amazing staff at rh princesa benidorm all very happy at work especially the most hard working bar staff ie Diego , marina, and Marcos they never stop so hard working and make u feel so special . In restaurant Martha is amazing on desk so attentive and happy to please everyone and goes above and beyond with a smile and to see everyone is seated quickly for the lovely buffet and drinks .definitely a hotel we will be returning to later in the year as been coming to Benidorm for 25 years and this hotel is one of the best in our opinion as u will see by my previous tripadvisor . Highly recommend to couple who want to relax and enjoy the experience
Hello my husband and I come to Benidorm many times a year and this hotel is totally amazing for friendly staff and atmosphere . The hotel has a heartbeat of connection with staff and holiday makers wanting to relax and enjoy and make memories . Rooms lovely food plenty variety and all incl is fantastic and all staff from reception restaurant bar and maids all go about loving their positions in hotel .extra special shout out to William on bar this guy is amazing looking after everyone with 5 star treatment and remembers your drinks order with a smile . Definitely a top hotel in Benidorm and believe me we have stayed in so many and this one is up with the best that’s for certain
Stayed here 18th Jan - 25th Jan, with my wife , this was our 2nd stay here.
We were checked in very swiftly at reception by Fran ( i think that was his name), & we were allocated room 1211 , so quite high up ,& the time was 12 30 p.m. ,however much to our delight ,we were able to check into our room immediately, which was great!
We were given an upgrade to a superior room which contained two double beds, so that was a lovely surprise!
The balcony was spacious ,two chairs & a table, but we do dislike those white plastic chairs though. There is a small fridge ,free of charge plus a safe - chargeable i think - we never used it , plus a kettle & coffee ,tea bags etc which were replaced every day too. The bathroom had a lovely walk in shower, leaked onto the floor slightly ,plus some shampoo, body wash too.
We had a view of the pool & surrounding hotels & apartments from our end balcony, our room was facing the side street, as there are four rooms on each floor facing here & the other eight rooms overlook the pool directly, not generally a better view from those rooms ,as we stayed in room 805 last year.
We were on a full board basis, & just like last year, the food on offer at all three settings was so nice, a lot of choices for starters mains & desserts, all very fresh ingredients ,which were constantly replenished at all times.
This was one of the many reasons we chose to stay at the RH Princesa again ,we also chose here for the indoor pool area which we could use for one hour every day free of charge as we were with jet 2 , plus we had access to the sauna & steam room too, &, as of last time, we found every area of the hotel immaculately clean, so a great job all round !
There was entertainment held in the lounge every evening which was fine, usually two different acts were on so that was good. The only problem this time around, apart from one evening, was the wait to order our drinks in the lounge, as there was only one guy in a packed room taking all the orders, so most nights we gave up waiting & walked up to the bar instead, where, funnily enough, there were FIVE staff behind the bar, but they weren't rushed off their feet ,as it took so long for one member of staff to take the orders that they had ample time to make up the drinks !
Drinks prices were very reasonable & the measures were great too !
This hotel caters well for kids too, there is a great games room, plus lots of outdoor facilities at the back of the hotel , like mini golf, trampolines , bouncy castle ,plus there's a separate play room for the younger kids.
we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here once again ,all of the staff & management are a credit to this hotel, as they are all very friendly & efficient, the entire hotel is spotlessly clean & very well organised too, plus it is only a 10 minute walk into the old town & a similar time to walk to the beach.
Once again we hit lucky with the weather, we only had two hours of rain in the entire week, temp was between 14 -18 degrees, so not bad for January !
We will certainly choose to stay here again on our next trip to Benidorm & we will definitely recommend the RH Princesa to our friends & family.
Super hotel, stayed B&B only and couldn’t criticise anything. Room, food, bar, staff, location all good. Had a car and paid for underground parking which is a bonus.
My friend and I have just been for 4 nights to the hotel.
We have stayed there before and it was that good in every way we went back.
From checking in, the rooms, the food in the dining room and the staff were all amazing.
We were full board. There was such a fantastic choice. At lunch and dinner there were about 8 main dishes to choice from or have them all.
The rooms were very spacious.
Everything was wonderful.
Our waitress Elena Escobar was great, very helpful in every way.
I couldn’t fault one thing.
Really worth staying there. Not far from the old town.
Go enjoy.
A 10 day booking from 27th December onward.
We have stayed many many times before, but this review is aimed at potential future guests who have not stayed before, while also including some of our recent experiences.
Located very handily in the middle of the Centro Zone. The Old Town is close by, all three beaches are within walking distance. Plenty of local buses for those who wish to go further.
Quite often fully booked during the winter months. Why is this, when some other hotels are struggling for bookings?? Many reasons actually. The most obvious reason is the Wellness Center contains two indoor (properly heated) swimming pools. 1 medium, 1 large.
Most Benidorm Hotels have quite a lot to answer for, food wise. The RH Princesa (and the nearby RH Royal and RH Victoria) is streets ahead when it comes to the their restaurant operation. Benidorm hotel prices have increased at a frightening speed in recent years, and nothing can be more annoying to find out that you have to keep spending good money on eating out because the food is not of a good standard. Very disappointed that ice cream machine had been removed as it was popular with the kids and adults.
On floor -1 (same as restaurant) there is a large games room that is popular with the kids (and some of the adults).
The lounge area is very large. There is live entertainment every evening. Along the side of the lounge, is a balcony area, with many tables and chairs, overlooking the scenic outdoor pool area.
Unsurprisingly, the reception area is busy and the nerve center of the hotel. I have to say, that they also incredibly helpful with everything.
The rooms ?? All have independent air conditioning. Tea/coffee facilities. Flat screen tv. Small fridge. Free safe. Functional bathroom. Balcony (double rooms and family rooms). This occasion there was only family rooms available. No problem for us, a larger room with 2 double beds (incredibly comfortable). On the whole the room cleaning is of a very high standard.
As mentioned before, we have found it pays dividends to shop around, price wise. More often than not, the hotel offers the best deal. It is free to free to register, and there are considerable discounts and benefits. Our room was missed out on days four and five, an unexplained event, although this is almost unheard of at this hotel.
A glowing revue !!!! But I had to find something to grumble about (lol). There is one very very small item. The games room. This is a facility that we use a lot. There is ALWAYS something wrong with the basket ball machine, either mechanically or electrically or both. This has gone on for 2 years. It has no problem taking 1 euro coins, but there is always something wrong with it. The 2 person electronic score never works, and sometimes not even 1 person electronic score. The mechanical basket does not function properly more often than not. 2 years this has been going on.
This apart, the RH Princesa is a very special hotel. And we will probably be back in April.
