We loved our stay as it met all our requirements over and above what we expected
Pros:

We were very satisfied with cost, location to airport in the morning, helpful staff and very quiet room.
I did decide to oay $30 more for bigger space and better amenities which l was very happy with .

Cons:

Nothing to comment on .

A no fuss hotel close to transport, shops and restaurants, that suited my needs for a weekend.
Pros:

I am directionally challenged! My main aim was to fly in from interstate and then catch a Skybus to Southern Cross Station. I came down for an AFL game at Marvel Stadium. The hotel gave me what I wanted: I was able to walk to the train station, DFO Spencer St outlet, Marvel Stadium and nearby restaurants. Perfect for what I wanted for a short stay.

Cons:

Although the room seemed quite clean, I noticed a number of things in the corridors which I felt were unclean and remained there during my stay from Friday to Sunday. There was a half eaten biscuit deposited on a railing in a hallway and a crumpled up face cloth or hand towel thrown in the corner of a walkway. I understand that these things happen, but found it disturbing that the cleaners didn't remove them over a 3 day period.

Pros:

Close to the train station

Cons:

Dirty floors and bathroom. Bin kept right outside the room. All in all not worth the money and won't be there again.

Pros:

GIVE THIS PLACE A MISS
Pros:

Run down and dirty - and that is just the beginning. The door to one of our rooms was broken at the hinges and did not close, the air conditioner was broken and the room smelt old and musty. We found old wrappers shoved under the lounge. How this hotel is allowed to operate with broken smoke detectors is beyond me. The staff were rude and did not provide clean towels on request. The one good thing about this is its situation, but we did not feel overly safe. Do yourself a favour, go elsewhere for a safer, cleaner and cheaper hotel.

Generally good
Pros:

Good location

Cons:

We stayed for three nights, rubbish bin not emptied during this time. I understand to wells not being changed or beds made but did expect rubbish bin to be emptied and tea and coffee to be topped up.

Disappointed
Pros:

I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past and have recommended it to friends and family, but unfortunately the accommodation has really deteriorated over the last couple of years . I stayed with my 2 boys in a 2 bedroom apartment on the fourth floor.
The first thing we noticed was the dilapidated condition of the hallway and the musty smell in the room. We had trouble opening the door (evidently due to damage from previous tenants) and we had to move to another room. There were stains on the bed sheets, there is no breakfast available anymore, and the whole place looks and feels run-down.
The location is fantastic, however we will now be looking at alternate accommodation when staying in Melbourne. Noise is also a problem on weekends due to the laneway that runs alongside the building.
