Booking and finding it.
First time we were there bed too soft for us and thought kingsize over the top. When we returned to Melbourne we were given another romm 101 - excellent on all counts. Bed very comfortable.
Room wasn’t clean on arrival. But staff addressed the issue quickly and found me another clean room promptly.
Close to train station. I have stayed here before and decided it was the most suitable spot for me
Nothing to say it was excellent
Location
The 2-bedroom apartment was not what I expected, narrow staircase, very small bathroom upstairs, overpriced for what I got.
I flew in on a 5 hour redeye flight from Darwin to a bitterly cold Melbourne and I was grateful for the opportunity of an early check in to warm up and get some sleep
Central location and friendly and helpful staff
Location
Ceiling in the bathroom was mouldy
Convenient for all the things we wanted to get to
Bathroom on both levels handy
Balcony nice touch
Unfortunately kitchen being renovated so no inhouse breakfast (but not far to walk to get something)
Excellent location and free coffee machine in lobby
Old, poorly maintained, not well cleaned and the one of the plantation shutters to block light to the room where the sofa bed is was missing.
Photos and clean central location
Noisy room, heard all the trams and drunk people as well as street sweepers
Proximity to Southern Cross Station.
Lift was out of service on Monday - we were 4 women, 2 elderly, and had to navigate stairs from level 4 to ground with luggage.
The location
It wasn’t very clean
We were very satisfied with cost, location to airport in the morning, helpful staff and very quiet room.
I did decide to oay $30 more for bigger space and better amenities which l was very happy with .
Nothing to comment on .
I am directionally challenged! My main aim was to fly in from interstate and then catch a Skybus to Southern Cross Station. I came down for an AFL game at Marvel Stadium. The hotel gave me what I wanted: I was able to walk to the train station, DFO Spencer St outlet, Marvel Stadium and nearby restaurants. Perfect for what I wanted for a short stay.
Although the room seemed quite clean, I noticed a number of things in the corridors which I felt were unclean and remained there during my stay from Friday to Sunday. There was a half eaten biscuit deposited on a railing in a hallway and a crumpled up face cloth or hand towel thrown in the corner of a walkway. I understand that these things happen, but found it disturbing that the cleaners didn't remove them over a 3 day period.
Close to the train station
Dirty floors and bathroom. Bin kept right outside the room. All in all not worth the money and won't be there again.
