I am writing to formally raise a serious concern regarding a hygiene issue we experienced during our stay at Days Inn.
My wife went to the lobby to get some hot water and picked up a paper cup that was provided there. Naturally, she assumed that the cup was clean and unused. After pouring water into it and taking a sip, she noticed that the rim of the cup was visibly dirty. This was extremely unpleasant and immediately raised serious concerns about the cleanliness and hygiene standards at the hotel.
We reported the matter to the front desk right away and left the dirty cup with the staff as evidence. The front desk employee told us that the issue would be reported to the manager.
However, when we checked out the following day, we followed up again with another front desk employee. We were told that the manager had not yet arrived and that the matter would be reported once the manager was available.
What concerns us most is not only the hygiene issue itself, but also the lack of any timely follow-up, explanation, or apology from hotel management before our departure. Providing a used or unclean cup to guests is a serious sanitation concern, particularly when it is intended for drinking.
We expected a much higher standard of cleanliness and customer care from Days Inn. We would appreciate a formal response explaining how this happened, what corrective action will be taken to prevent a similar incident from occurring again, and how the hotel intends to address our complaint.

The sink drain in my bathroom was broken, and the carpet in their room desperately needs to be replaced.

The fella working the front desk was simply amazing. Friendly and helpful. Check in was easy. Covered parking. The room was clean.
We felt the price was a tad high for the accommodations. They definitely are fixing the place up but it feels old.
