We really enjoyed staying in this colonial style hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was great. If you don’t mind walking (like us), the hotel in within 30 mins stroll to the square. It’s located right next to El Esteco winery and within few minutes walk to one of the oldest vineyards in the area, Bodega Vasija Secreta. The room was super spacious and clean, albeit a bit dark but we didn’t mind that as we were out most of the day. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. Breakfast had everything you would expect and sitting in the sun outside, overlooking the pool and lawn, sipping coffee, was a great start for the day. We only had a charcuterie platter for 2 with a bottle of red wine the first night we arrived and it was just right for what we wanted. You’ll need a car to visit other vineyards further afield or a taxi

The staff were friendly and tried to be helpful, but their command of English was quite limited. We asked where we could exchange money on a Sunday and specifically checked whether the place would be open. We were assured that it would be, but after going all the way into town, we found it closed.
The restaurant was acceptable, and the service itself was good, but overall it felt overpriced for the quality offered. At these prices, you expect everything to be close to perfect.
The main reason for my low rating, however, is their very “creative” payment policy. Prices are listed in US dollars, but the hotel converts them into Argentine pesos using their own exchange calculations, while at the same time accepting payment in euros. Because of the constantly fluctuating peso-dollar exchange rate, it becomes almost impossible to know the real final cost.
For our 3-night stay, we ended up paying 38 euros more than expected. I noticed the discrepancy already before the trip when I saw the credit card charge and contacted the hotel. Their standard response was that it was “due to a higher peso-to-dollar exchange rate that day.” However, after checking the rates myself, the explanation did not match the actual difference charged.
The problem is that the system lacks transparency, and as a guest, you can never really verify whether the amount charged is correct.

La carta del restaurante es muy premium pero le falta cosas mas mundanas. No hay unas papas fritas para comer en la pileta x ejemplo.

En el ingreso desde la cochera, hasta la recepción es largo y no tienen asistencia para el equipaje ni en el ingreso ni a la salida, para mí esta ausencia del servicio le resta.
