Hilton Garden Inn Huntsville/Space Center

King Suite, decent size. Location very close to family. Staff were very nice. They allow dogs to stay, despite that it didn't smell like other hotels that allow dogs. I'm also allergic, but was not affected at all during my stay. Pool is also a plus. Good location off of freeway. We stay here when we come to Alabama.

I had an outstanding experience at this hotel, and I especially want to recognize Elijah for providing truly exceptional hospitality.

From the moment we interacted, Elijah was warm, professional, attentive, and genuinely committed to making sure I felt welcomed and taken care of. Great hospitality is about more than simply doing the job—it is about making people feel valued—and Elijah absolutely accomplished that.

His positive attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to go above and beyond made a lasting impression and elevated the entire experience. Employees like Elijah are what turn a good hotel stay into a memorable one.

I gave this property an Average Rating based upon on a couple of things I will detail in this review.
I have been a HH Diamond Member for over ten years so I spend a lot of time in HGI's. I do so based on quality of stay, consistency of service, and staff interaction.
Overall this property met all those marks. It was clean, well kept, and presented a pleasing atmosphere inside and out. Location is near Space and Rocket Center off I-565 and easy to access with no noticeable traffic noise.
Check in was easy and staff friendly.
Room was standard HGI and very clean. AC worked well and was not too noisy, shower had good water pressure and did not take long for water to get hot.

The only issue I had with the room was the in room land line phone did not work. I checked both connections with no success. Now I know everyone has a cell phone so that is available, but having a working land line phone allows communication should the cell service go down. Also if you want to set a second wake up call, call the front desk, or receive incoming calls to your room the phone has to work I also see this as a health and safety issue for emergencies.
After some back and forth with the front desk staff ( Mrs. Robinson -you have a cell phone don't you) they finally, although reluctantly found me a room with a working phone.

I choose HGI because they have a restaurant, so I don't have to go out if I don't want to. I did not eat dinner in the HGI Restaurant but went to Tim's Cajun Kitchen which is just about a mile away-highly recommended.

Breakfast the next morning was the second issue I am addressing. First service from the server was prompt and timely. However when she says it may be a while that raises an issue since I was only one of two occupied tables, and shortly after I placed my order they were served. I could see the kitchen from my table and no one back there for quite some time. Upon receiving my omelet some 25 minutes later I was very disappointed in the quality. Omelets are not supposed to be "runny" although mine was. On the positive side the bacon was perfectly cooked, and the coffee was hot.
The above two issues are why I gave this property an Average Rating. Would i stay here again, perhaps but I would have to think about it.

Clean, working elevator, clean rooms

Let me say the entire staff from the kitchen to housekeeping is phenomenal. We normally check into our rooms then we put on gloves and clean the room ourselves as we were cleaning the towels that we were using we clean no dirt no dust the bathroom was exceptionally clean omg I had to review this place. Girrod, Angela and Mary just to name a few at the front desk were amazing they were helpful and knowledgeable. There were 2 young ladies that serve us breakfast I cannot remember one of the ladies name but she gave me her sons name to pray for them Micheal and Khalif they other one was Natalie they were so attentive to my family needs at breakfast. We have encountered greatness here at this Hilton in Huntsville and we are forever grateful for the hospitality of this staff.

Much needed old fashioned and a small dinner. Talina was friendly and efficient at the restaurant bar.
