We were given a room upgrade to a suite because it was our anniversary, the staff were very attentive and looked after us wonderfully
The Grounds were lovely Quiet in our room
Facilities struggled to sit outside and find a table to sit swimming pool unable to swim due to swimming classes
The room was fantastic and the gold really enjoyable
Dinner was more basic than it should have been for a hotel of this quality. The portions were really small (especially after 18 holes of golf). Charging £1 for each bread roll was probably not necessary.
Stunning olace and location however its the staff that really make this place special.
They went out of their way to surprise the wife for her birthday with petals and chocolates in the room and treated excellent by all staff encountered
Location, facilities, value for money
Room slightly dated / plain.
The public spaces and grounds beautiful
Bedroom and bathroom very basic
Friendly staff, good leisure facilities, comfortable bed.
Lovely old building in gray surroundings. Rooms clean and staff very friendly and helpful. Restaurant food was amazing and service very good. Health club and beauty treatments were very good also.
The atmosphere in the bar in the evening didn’t fit with the rest of the hotel and facilities. It was full of large male groups and was very noisy. We were surprised to see that there were 3 door security staff. Really didn’t expect this type of bar in such a lovely hotel.
Good location, lovely setting and gardens. Fantastic staff.
Tired rooms. Very noisy at night with loud parties going on. Bad food and even worse wine.
The hotel and setting was great.
Would liked to have had a hot breakfast option before 9am, although i did stay on a Thursday night with a Friday morning breakfast. Once i arrived it did say only continental breakfast before 9am.
Rural location. Checking in with Rome was lovely & the warm cookie was a very nice touch. Pool and facilities were good. Very comfortable bed and nice room size, with table and chairs in the room. Wardrobe, safe and can of water in the room. Breakfast was excellent, all the staff were amazing throughout.
The rooms are tired with misty windows and a view of only a brick wall, wasn't the nicest start. Not what I was expecting for £175 a night. Pool area is also on the tired side with the shower next to the steam room being very loose. Also overcrowded as you didn't need to book. When we got there, the pool, jacuzzi and steam room were full, as well as the loungers, so we were a bit lost, along with the people who walked in after us.
The door to the car park was very loud, seemed to echo though to the rooms. We were about 6 rooms away but still woke us up at 6.30am. Probably just needs a soft close on it.
Overall, wouldn't stay again until its been updated.
