Le petit déjeuner catastrophique
This is a very classy hotel, 10 minutes by car away from the Medina. Rooms are very spacious and the breakfast options are awesome. Staff members go out of their way to please you and are reflective of the Moroccan culture and hospitality. Price is a bit on the higher side but well worth it.
It’s just that if you prefer not to eat in the hotel restaurants, you will have to either walk quite a bit or take a taxi- which is not about the hotel but a personal choice
We stayed for 4 nights in a deluxe room. All areas of the hotel were immaculate. Plenty of seating areas both inside and outside.
Fabulous floral display in lobby and other nice floral touches throughout other areas of the hotel. We tried one of the restaurants for lunch and dinner. Tasty, freshly cooked food with great service. There was a great selection at breakfast.
Pool area was relaxing with spacious pool, good for swimming.
The room and the bathroom were spacious with all we needed. Shower was above the bath which was ok for us. Bed was comfortable. House keeping every day. The hotel was close to some nice restaurants, cafes and banks.
The staff make this hotel.
All staff throughout were pleasant and helpful.
Worth mentioning Mounaim and Yassime at breakfast who ensured we had everything we needed. Fatima at concierge organised a guide for us to visit the Medina.
Thank you to everyone for making our stay so memorable.
Would definitely recommend.
I read quite a lot of bad reviews of this place hence I was ready to face a bad hotel. Was surprised upon arrival. Place looks grand and all staff are very welcoming and polite. I booked the Ambassador room and is almost the size of 3 bedrooms. 2 toilets and divided into 3 partition - love it! Shower area should be improved as it is neither a bathtub or a walk in shower. But yet you have to climb into "bathtub alike" to shower. Not great for old people having hip issues. Room is relatively clean.
Gym only opens at 6am and is operated like a separate entity. It is also for outside customers. Since the gym is on a separate building, it should be made 24hr for hotel guest with card access. Gym is spacious, medium modern equipment and they should have towels on sight as the guy in charge is not always around.
Swimming pool length is fantastic but is cold. I've to be braved to jump in each time and shiver for the next half hour.
Breakfast is good. Love the selection of food. And you can order Crepes on demand. Though I wish the staff takes more effort in cleaning up the tables as each table you can see the food crumbs on each mat. Staff doesn't wipe it just replace new sets of utensils.
They allow us to access the lounge and happy hour starts at 5pm with average wine and food is ok. Staff are really nice on the whole.
I think the reviews of this place who gives 1 star is harsh. I appreciate this hotel, never a fan of Marriott but this place tries hard. Thank you.
We booked the Fes Marriott Hotel Jnan Palace for 3 nights as part of an 11 day trip to Morocco. There were 5 of us on this trip and we had 3 excellent rooms. This hotel is fantastic. The entire staff is very welcoming and friendly. The grounds, the pool, the workout center are beautiful and meticulously maintained.
A few weeks before our trip, I contacted the hotel concierge to arrange transportation from Casablanca to Fez. Sara responded almost immediately to my request and had a large van reserved for the trip. The driver was right on time for the arranged pickup.
Throughout our stay, Sara was incredibly attentive. She arranged van rides for our pre-arranged tours and evening dinner reservations. And she made sure the drivers returned to pick us up to bring us back to the hotel.
The restaurants are great. The breakfast buffet is tremendous, with plenty of food and selections for all tastes.
All of the staff are just wonderful people. Sara was especially excellent. We are so glad that we stayed at the Jnan Palace.
The location and the area and the place
Nothing they need a good management
First you can’t go by your car to the entrance door of the hotel you must go to the parking and after they sent you some one
Everything
Fez Marriott Jnun Palace was such a great place from which to launch our first foray to Africa. This property is a remarkable resort: palatial poolside atmosphere... bespoke architecture & tile work... grand floral arrangements... terraced suites... & spa amenities are among the best highlights.
The most outstanding feature at this property is undoubtedly, the staff. The legendary Moroccan culture of hospitality shines so very brightly here. The brightest star amongst this well-populated constellation has to be Eman. As the club lounge concierge,
Eman discharged her hostess and hospitality skills with the prefect blend of competence, warmth, and enthusiasm. With such special care, we began plotting our daily schedule to make sure we did not miss Club Lounge happy hour! That high mark was met and exceeded each of our five (5) days here.
For both business and leisure, we travel with Marriott more than 115 days each year. Marriott Jnun Palace is fortunate to have young talent of this caliber. It is the people, after all, that possess the capacity to turn a good vacation into a "we're definitely coming back here" experience! Thank you one-and-all.
With gratitude,
Cameron & Tracy
Friendly staff
Difficult to control room temperature
I liked the location, the garden and the lobby
I didn't like the dirty carpet and the dirty curtains.
I didn't also that i was to ask for bathrobe and to wait for them 2hours
