The room was a good size, the bed was comfortable, and the shower pressure was excellent.
When checking in, we were asked if we would like to add breakfast, and I agreed, as I couldn’t recall whether it had been included in my original booking. Shortly after entering our room and reviewing our departure time, I realized we would not have time to eat before our flight and returned to reception within minutes to request the change. I was informed that because the reservation had been made through Booking.com, the breakfast charge could not be removed. While I understand policies vary, it was disappointing, and I do feel that larger hotels such as Hilton London Gatwick should be able to easily add or remove breakfast charges when plans change shortly after check-in.

Staff at reception were excellent, friendly and helpful. I was told I was a VIP which was a first 😂.

The Hitel is very convenient for the South Terminal at Gatwick Airport. It is 10 minutes’ walk along a covered way. The room was large and had everything we needed for a comfortable night’s stay. The staff were very good. We needed help with our TV and within 10 minutes it was sorted. The staff at Amy’s Bar were also very pleasant and courteous. Very easy access as we were meeting a family member st the South Terminal.
