Lovely location but some modernising required and better cleaning.
Pros:

The location is lovely.

Cons:

No air con, the hottest building I have ever tried to sleep in. The night porter did kindly find me a fan from the kitchen which helped slightly.
The bathroom was not clean, this was raised with reception.

Overcharged for what it is
Pros:

Had a pool and spa facilities, but overcharged for what they are

Cons:

Bathroom was filthy, had to clean it before using it. The cleaners were so loud early in the morning on the corridor.

Very comfortable bed. Wonderful to have an outside seating are.
Providing a fridge was a masterclass,

Cons:

The only issue we had was trying to book a taxi. We were attending a birthday party less than 3 miles away and it proved impossible to book a taxi. Your receptionist was exceptional and suggested that we book a taxi for the following morning so we could collect our car. She did this on our behalf as we could not obtain a phone signal.

Pros:

The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Cons:

Because we had 2 dogs with us we had to have breakfast in the bar, unfortunately the table was never laid for us and we always had to find someone to serve us. The room was supposed to have a minibar, infact it was an empty fridge.

Really lovely stay. We loved the spa facilities and the breakfast buffet. Such a relaxing stay.
Pros:

Pros:

I had an extra large room with every facility that I could expect. Very clean , very quiet, and an opening window onto the golf course.

Cons:

Breakfast was £24 each person night. I didn't order any. My friends who did have one breakfast said it was poor and portioned controlled. Ridiculous for £24

A very comfy stay with attentive staff to help 24/7
Pros:

Very big comfy bed , lovely !
Being able to sit outside was a bit of a bonus , I enjoyed having a coffee at the table outside.
The size of the room was very good .
Good to have the option of a bath or shower.
Enough tea and coffee for my stay
Good to have a hair dryer.
Good to have a fridge ( which was originally a mini bar ) , I bought fresh milk and also water, it was nice to be able to keep it cold.
Swimming facility / spa/ gymn was a nice extra although I didn’t use it , it was good to have the option. Other family members did use it.

Cons:

The shower was cold the first morning, better the second morning.
Not a good phone signal or even Wi-Fi in the room . Friends and family were trying to contact me but I couldn’t speak to them until I was in reception or the bar.
One wardrobe door couldn’t be opened , it wouldn’t slide across the runner .

Pros:

The staff, especially the manager was really helpful after my stay was blighted by there being no hot water

Cons:

The lack of hot water was a major problem as inwas on a cycling tour, looking forward to a shower or bath on arrival
The food was rather expensive for the offer
