The Breakfast inclusive rates include a Full-cooked breakfast and Dinner inclusive rates includes 2 courses from our seasonal menu and a side dish. Supplements apply to certain items. Inclusions only apply for adults.

Children’s Breakfast is not included in the advertised rates and the charges are as follows directly to the hotel:

0-4 years old – Breakfast Complimentary/
5- 11 years old – Breakfast charged at 50% full price/
12 and over breakfast charged at full adult price.

Please note extra beds and cots must be confirmed with the hotel prior to arrival, customers will be required to settle children's extra bed charges (£30 per night) directly with the hotel.

From 29 October 2025, a £5 daily congestion charge will apply to cars driving through central Oxford – please check if you need a permit.

There is a limit of 30 onsite parking spaces at the hotel which must be booked in advance by contacting the hotel to the contact number provided on the confirmation after booking. The charge is GBP 34 for an overnight stay from 15:00 until 12:00 the next day. Spaces are subject to availability and must be booked prior to your stay in order to guarantee a reserved space. You will be asked to leave your keys with our reception team upon arrival. Please contact the hotel for further details. Valet parking is also available.

When traveling with a dog, please note that an extra charge of £25 for 1 dog or £40 for maximum 2 dogs, per night applies . Dogs are allowed in designated guest rooms-please notify the hotel in advance.

A memorable hotel, given the history of the building, and a very pleasant stay all round.
Pros:

Excellent location. Interesting internal layout and decor (being a former prison). Room wonderfully quiet - not surprising, given the thick walls!

We did not have dinner at the hotel but the breakfasts were good, and the free drink from the bar on arrival was a very nice touch.

Cons:

There was only one coffee machine in the breakfast room, so you had to queue for it or pick your moment to dash up for it when you noticed there was no queue. When the machine ran out of milk or coffee beans, it was an even longer wait. For an expensive hotel of this size, you would expect more than one coffee machine.

Cons:

was an exceptionally hot weekend, and the room did not appear to have working air con, despite a dial on the wall. A fan was already in the room, so I expect management were aware of the situation. The fan automatically switched off after 2 hrs, so I had quite a disturbed night, keep resetting the fan.

Great stay for a special Birthday!
Pros:

Everything! Perfect break for 21st Birthday. Excellent location, easy to find and great they had a car park. Loved our room, lots of space and a super comfy bed. As always breakfast was superb!!!

Malmaison Oxford was a very comfortable, welcoming hotel in walking distance to everything!
Pros:

Our room had plenty of space as did the bathroom. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was perfect: within walking distance of many shops, restaurants, Pubs, and places of interest.

Cons:

The water temperature in the shower was difficult to control - would switch quickly from hot to cold and back again.
I asked for an extra blanket and was never given one; just a sheet.
The top windows (near the ceiling) are very hard to reach to shut and open.
