Reasonable for work
Pros:

Reasonably priced, good wifi, friendly staff, and the room was spacious, with a terrace. Breakfast is probably lovely for most.

Cons:

Chaotic check in, where every guest was asked to fill in their own ID number - the ID’s themselves weren’t checked. The mini fridge was warm, the safe was locked, the room was dusty, and there was an ashtray on the terrace table. I sent the hotel a message about the fridge and safe while I was at work: no response. Lots of mosquitoes in the room - they come in through the bathroom window in the ceiling, which can’t be closed. The walls are stained with splattered insects. Also, for me, there was too little choice at breakfast. I like to eat lots of veggies and eggs. I asked for some scrambled eggs and cucumbers. I got one scrambled egg on a plate. After I ate and was ready to leave, someone came and asked whether I still wanted those cucumbers. Finally, this is my old neighbourhood, and it’s great to live in, but I’d forgotten how lacking in public transport Amstelveen is. Not something that can be helped by the hotel, but it is something to keep in mind when you book.

Family run hotel that appears to be used mainly by work related occupants.
Pros:

Quiet location close to Amstelveen Old Town and Silversant restaurant, etc. Easy cycling distance to Aalsmeer area. Pleasant check-in receptionist. Our room had its own terrace which, unfortunately, was unusable owing to the incessant rain and wind during our stay. Helpful regarding the parking of our car on site.

Cons:

Frosted glass en-suite door without door seals and wc immediately behind the door. Unacceptable lack of privacy for sharing a room. Lack of internal locked storage space for expensive e-bikes - something that is quite common in the Netherlands despite the cycling culture. Very basic/restricted breakfast - finished by 9am. Limited and tight parking. Very dim lighting in the room. Expensive on street parking if left during the day - free municipal parking in car park, some distance away.

Super für Stopover oder WE Trip
Pros:

sehr schönes Zimmer, toller Balkon, hatten für die 1 Nacht kostenlos Upgrade auf Suite „Roos“, gute Umgebung, wenige Gehminuten zu Restaurants und Bars, Hotel liegt nah an der Autobahn-Ausfahrt, dabei aber absolut ruhig, entspannte und kostenlose Parkplatz-Situation auf der Straße, außerdem gutes Frühstück

We like it because it’s in Amstelveen and that’s where we needed to be for this trip.

Cons:

The property is quite outdated and has not gone any refurbishment. Example, the alarm locks on the rooms beep when you open it. Meaning, if someone arrives in the other room and you are sleeping, you wake up from the alarm just because they are opening the door. The doorknobs are also wobbly especially in the toilet, you cannot close it properly. There is also no barrier in the bathroom, so if you shower, the entire bathroom will flood because of it. Some corners are quite dirty from stains or rust. If you as a guest, do not mind that, then it’s comfortable if you need to be in the location.
