It was a very luxurious hotel. Very tasteful decor. Ideal setting as we were visiting Bristol Beacon. Excellent breakfast.
Nothing.
Everything
The fire alarm went off several times dueing the Saturday night Sunday morning making the hole hotel evacuate not sure what the cause was but seemed to be false alarm as there was no fire
Le confort
Rien
We have now stayed twice at the Marriott and think it represents good value - particularly given its excellent location near College Green at the bottom of Park Street. The first time we stayed (last October) we had a rather better room - perhaps due to an upgrade - but both bedrooms were comfortable and smartly furnished. The public rooms are spacious and quite grand - if a little corporate. It was good to have a choice of spaces, and the little secluded outside terrace area would have been particularly inviting if the weather had been a bit warmer. Staff were helpful and there were enough colleagues at the front desk to prevent queues at busy times. It is very convenient being able (for an additional charge) to use secure underground parking.
We chose not to have breakfast when we stayed a second time, as - although there was lots of choice - we thought the quality wasn't particularly good. There are many excellent cafes nearby.
the hotel was beautiful
we had a alarm went off at 2am in the morning no discount was offered
The location is good
The fire alarm activated at 1:30 am and there was no instruction from any staff or fire Marshall this was very dangerous
Nothing
Old and badly managed
Propre
Ne pas pouvoir ouvrir la fenêtre et avoir la ventilation qui ne marche pas
Parking was so convenient and the hotel bar was just what we wanted for a quick pre-theatre snack and then cocktails upon our return!
Overall the breakfast was OK but a lack of rolls and decent quality bread was disappointing. In line with the quality of the Hotel, an option to order Eggs Benedict which other hotels offer, was missing from the menu.
I was staying 1night here since i was seeing a concert. I like to dress up for a concert, be on theme/unique, however once I was walking back to the hotel around 11.45pm I want to say, the door man allowed others to entr/exit but did not let me in, i told him that I was staying here, and he would not listen at all, and he was speaking to me with the door open about 2/3inches. He only let me in once I told him my room number and showed him my key card. This was extremely upsetting for me as I am a 19 year old female (on my own) that was running off of adrenaline after a concert and just wanted to continue my night and calm down.
The room was good
The staff and the misleading information about saying they have a spa.
