Booked the usual superior King Size room I usually book once a month for work, checking in, room has been taken, was given a standard double room, if I wanted a view of a roof 5 yards from my window I would of booked that, gutter broken leading to constant dripping all night, noice from people working past, that’s why I book the superior king size, one of three rooms that your not disturbed, I have paid for the superior room & didn’t get that, but was told the duty manager would be phoning me later that day after check out, still waiting, checked out 10 days ago! Don’t stop in room 363 if raining outside.
Sausage butties for breakfast
We were very disappointed with our stay :- our bedrooms were to hot and the radiators wouldn’t turn down so we had to use fans in one room three fans
The plugs didn’t fit in the holes so couldn’t have baths there was only two plug sockets in each room
One bath had to be cleaned out as there was pubic hair in it
The door keys on one room kept running which was a problem having to go back to reception
And we were going to be charged five pounds a head for swimming with 12 in our family it would have worked out very expensive after a little moan it was agreed to not pay as I had paid in full before the hotel had changed hands
I have stayed there twice before and I was very disappointed with the extreme difference.
The mattress was comfy
The building is lovely from the outside but when you get to the rooms a totally different story,it needs a total revamp in decorating dirty carpets ,dust, window latches that don't work light bulbs that don't work, holes in hallway carpet cracked tiles in bathroom,we would not stay here again we checked out after our first night and that's only because we got there quite late otherwise we would not have stayed there, very disappointing and can't believe we paid what we did to stay there so overpriced.
the room was clean and comfortable with every thing but a fridge
as a dog owner needing a room we were located at the very rear of the hotel at the end of a long corridor which felt like we were underground it a small window with no view and little natural light It was a long way to take the dog for tiddles especially in the night
No fridge
Nothing
Everything
Poor service and facilities.
Very misleading information and pictures from hotel did not mirror actual condition of the hotel
For the price it was adequate but for the style of business one would hope for table clothe, more extravagant plates, cutlery and pleasanter presentation of cereals.
No lifts and too many ups and down stairways - we are old and feel thos, but know nothing can be done as it is a Listed Building.
Rooms nothing anywhere near to the photos on your website, extremley dated, dirty and even a health and safety risk
One member of staff between the reception and bar. |reception and cleaning staff taking orders for breakfast.
£12 each for a full english and there were items missing from the menu description.
