The room was spacious and bed was fantastic.
I am battling with parking charges of £100 i just got for the car i used during my stay .
Room satisfactory, Food good, Staff friendly, but...
1.
We wanted lunch but even after asking twice at reception for someone to be found to take an order in the bar (where were no staff but a good few customers) we decided to go somewhere else for lunch.
2.
The service in the restaurant in the evening was very slow. There were only 12 guests, but clearly the kitchen was understaffed.
3.
We wanted to split the dinner bill between us but this was simply not possib;le with the "new system".
The restaurant staff did not seem to be clear whether service was included in the bill and said that yes 20% had been added... but this was the VAT she was referring to. We ended up with one of us paying the £265 bill and another paying the tip in cash. It seemed especially unfair on the staff making them try to work a system which seemed to be unfit for purpose and which they did not seem to have been trained for. There did not seem to be anyone on duty senior enough for us to point these failures out to..
Location. The main building is lovely
The building where the bedrooms are is quite tired, and basic in the rooms.
It was ideal for my needs and close to where I wanted to be. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of lighting in the car park.
The net curtain had a squashed spider on it but apart from that the room was clean enough.
Everything was spot on as usual friendly staff, clean rooms, been here a few times and booked again for later in the year
Nothing all was great 👍
Staff, food, location excellent
Maybe a bit of a tidy up of front building
The staff were very friendly and we enjoyed a catch up with family in the beer garden.
The parking fee and not enough staff particularly at breakfast.
Location. Clean and efficient
Charged extra to park there overnight !
Everything
N/A
It was the perfect location for what I needed
What I saw was nothing special in terms of the rooms. They are spacious but that’s about the only difference to any other hotel room in the world
Always like this place, nicely located for our family visits with pleasant grounds. Such an amenable staff helps our stays a pleasure and most helpful too. Would we recommend it? too late, we already have.
Nothing .
