Please be aware that Mercure Northampton no longer has a swimming pool and wet facilities. Please note that the card used to make the booking has to be presented upon check-in. Please be aware a maximum of two guest requiring assistance (due to any form of disability or impairments) is permitted at the hotel on any given night due to fire, life safety policies, relating to the safe and appropriate time required to facilitate evacuation. Any guests that will require assistance from the hotel team to safely evacuate the property in case of an emergency for an overnight stay must state this at booking stage. Loved the room service availability although static in its choice of items
Would have liked more choice of items with room service - occasionally felt a nuisance when ordering as staff seemed very busy
Not sure how I felt about car parking. Said on line it was gated but seemed like it was part of a thorough way!

Arrived home with bed bug bites. Rang to advise room should be deep cleaned but not interested

The overhead shower I couldn't use as it didnt have a separate head, and no handles in the shower, so felt unsafe. It also needs updating.
The location great for the saints vs black lions match .Central to Shops etc
The new key card systems , we had to go down to reception twice as ours didnt work . Also a black lions rugby player was rude to us in the lift and he was only on first floor so why he had to get in the lift shouting and running and asking us to stop the lift . He didnt understand the instructions for using the key in the lift and forced my key and in doing so we had to go back down to reception to have our key reset for a third time . The room we were in was freezing. Only a thin duvet and eventually got the heating unit working . The bed a bit lop sided .
