Please be aware that Mercure Northampton no longer has a swimming pool and wet facilities. Please note that the card used to make the booking has to be presented upon check-in. Please be aware a maximum of two guest requiring assistance (due to any form of disability or impairments) is permitted at the hotel on any given night due to fire, life safety policies, relating to the safe and appropriate time required to facilitate evacuation. Any guests that will require assistance from the hotel team to safely evacuate the property in case of an emergency for an overnight stay must state this at booking stage. Very nice hotel, we booked this hotel specifically because it had air conditioning in the rooms. We stay in a lot of Northampton hotels as this is my hometown. Apart from the central location, the hotel has good parking available, hairdryers in the rooms, tea/coffee making facilities and a good bar and lobby area. The staff were very friendly. I will certainly be staying here again.

I stayed here this week as I was working at the brewery it was convenient as its walking distance. Smooth pleasant check in with loads of free parking. Clean tidy air conditioned room. I only ate breakfast which was buffet type which was more than good enough would stay again.
Just the location, which i needed.
The room was dirty,,shower,wasn't to a average standard, complained to reception, just told,they will make a note of it and tell cleaning staff.
Went down in the morning for a coffee no one to get a coffee from..

had to pay an extra £20 to check out at midday which I wasnt aware of at booking. drains in bathroom room 321 were very smelly and plastic key cards constantly stopped working after using them in the lift meaning you had to return all the way back to reception to have your room key re coded then return back to your floor and room. bit of a drama. Breakfast was poor, wish I hadn't paid for it and eaten out instead. at 9am staff were letting the food run out as it was due to finish at 930, dried up eggs, black pudding wasn't cooked all the way through due to how it was laid on top of each other. Felt I was being rushed out dead on 930 so not a good experience
The fact that it’s so close to Northampton town center makes it easy to access the town center and see the beauty in it.
Every room should have a fridge. This is the first time I’m seeing an hotel room without a mini fridge
