Calypso Oaks Coolangatta
Pros:

At check in room wasn't available until right on 2pm even though we were processed at 11am, but we were able to put car in car park and access facilities. Room was small and initially shower head would not stay up and bath plug didn't fit - next day these issues were promptly resolved. Minimal kitchen equipment - no chopping board, small sharp knife (and large knives were not sharp),ice cube tray, dustpan etc. Good amount of detergents etc. Building is showing signs of age. Older than many hotels in area, but cheaper and overall , once a few things were resolved, it proved to be adequate and brilliant location. Would probably stay again.

The facilities are beautiful..the staff are lovely...the position is magnificent

Cons:

The bed was really skinny...we requested 2 single beds...my husband is a large man...the mattress was old and uncomfortable...I had to fold up a mattress protector as padding on old mattress.

Great place to stay. Don’t expect the Ritz and you won’t be disappointed.
Pros:

Location, location, location.

Pool and spa fabulous, along with access to beach, shopping and restaurants.

Cons:

The apartments a bit dated in places - lights and one dishwasher not working - we had a party of 3 apartments. My microwave had a dial timer! Prehistoric!

Very ordinary and not what was written as the expectations on bookings.com when we booked.
Pros:

Room itself was smaller than Bookings.com statement of 70 square metres but overall ok.

Cons:

Paying $200 a night for this accommodation was wrong. WE have stayed at a few Oaks now and they were brilliant until booking this one. $150 per night would be top dollar for this accommodation so very dissapointed with bookings.com and the Oaks. We had plenty of items missing from kitchen utilities which we had to do without except for a frying pan which we had to go through reception to sort out and after a time this was delivered to room. Plenty of other problems which was not in their best interest as we will not be staying there again & will be letting others know about the issues.

Magnificent accommodation in a magnificent part of the world!
Pros:

From car parking security and availability for my high vehicle to a very comfortable clean quiet and well equipped apartment for our stay over with friendly proficient staff! Close to the beach and eating venues!

Cons:

Missing bath linen which was promptly provided on request!

Pros:

We all lived staying here. Super cosy room with a fantastic view. Great location, surrounded by cafes, restaurants and bars all in handy walking distance. Super friendly and helpful staff. Everyone we met who was also staying there all seemed as happy as we were.
We will be back again.

Very pleasant.
Pros:

The accommodation was clean, quiet and had most things we needed.

Cons:

Pillows were very soft and offered little support. Staff said all the pillows were the same. They brought one to my room which was the same. Funny thing was that my partner's pillow was different and better. Not a big deal but could be better.

Great accommodation and location.
Pros:

I loved the location which is an easy walk to the beach, shops, restaurants, so many to choose from. Greenmount Surf Club has an excellent view. Lots of lovely scenic walks with several beaches close by. I had an ocean view Appt which I could not fault. Security and carparking was good as was the service. This truly is a great place to stay and I would like to return when the weather is not so cruel.
