Could be better
Pros:

Voco is a beautiful hotel. It has everything like comfort, style, cleanliness and facilities. We enjoyed our stay here. If some attention was taken to certain aspects of this hotel, maybe because of low season, it would be amazing. Food in the bar area looked very nice but did not taste.

Cons:

The huge pool was deep, so you have to get your hair wet when using it. Unfortunately it was also cold which meant that we couldn't enjoy it for a longer time. The dinner and breakfast were not good at all. Sad to say that it was honestly like eating children's food. The food was very limited, very bland. Plain white sauce pasta, plain unseasoned rice, and there were even onion rings for breakfast. This was in the main restaurant which we had prebooked since we were staying in. If the hotel does not have enough occupancy during the low season of April to offer a proper buffet, then our suggestion is that they use the Bar restaurant instead for dining options.

Didn’t have a good stay
Pros:

The rooms are spacious, reception staff are nice.

Cons:

I am very surprised the hotel has 5 stars. We stayed for 2 separate nights, the first night was good, no issues, but we didn’t got to the bar or restaurant. The second night was bad.

The change given after our lunch meal was short. Coffee machine in the room and the beer draft machine at the bar didn’t work. All the things are given in singular amounts - coffee pods, tea bags, even though the room was booked for 2 people. We decided to drink coffee that we had with us since the coffee machine didn’t work and asked for some milk at the bar downstairs and got charged for it. Staff except reception are not really concerned about the guests having a good time.

We usually have a great stay at IHG hotels, for 160 EUR a night this was a big exception.
