Location is great, check in staff are miserable, rude with delusions of grandeur. If you can avoid staying here, then avoid it. They actively go out of their way not to help guests and other staff members, not something one would associate with the Hilton brand. Deputy Front desk manager was rude when checking in and couldn’t even smile when greeting guests.
Reception is modern and clean
First stay my room was over sold, second stay I had booked and paid for a queen room and was given a single room with no light and no air con and was told this is all that’s left
The staff were friendly and professional but let down by a tired and out-dated hotel.
The new booking-in system took way too long and when we eventually got to our room it was too hot. The room smelt mouldy and the bathroom had mould and was in very poor state. The room didn't have air conditioning, and with temperatures at 38 degrees, the room was far too hot - the fan provided just circulated hot air. Not worth £165. Time to catch up and modernise.
Well presented communal areas.
No light in the room. Only lamps…. Which means you have to walk into the room the dark to turn a light on.
I what was one the hottest May Day on record, there was no function to cool the room. Only a fan!
The property was dealing with a “new system”. This caused a very big delay in checking in, with long queues. My father who stayed at the same time was randomly charged nearly £90 by mistake off the hotel.
Noting
Don’t have air con, I couldn’t sleep at all, is not normal to not have
I recently stayed at this hotel with my family and booked two rooms.
> The staff were excellent, especially Saim on reception — very polite, professional, and genuinely helpful.
>
> Unfortunately, the rooms were not comfortable at all. The hotel was very noisy, possibly because there is a bar downstairs, which made it difficult for us to rest properly.
>
> The restaurant staff were also very good — quick, friendly, and helpful.
> However, the food quality was disappointing, and the prices were quite expensive for what was offered.
>
> Overall, the service from the staff was great, but the rooms and food need major improvement.

The location
The toilet was not flushing properly
The staff on the whole were friendly and helpful.
The room we were in needed upgrading.
The bedside lampstand was extremely dusty
Breakfast was let down by the poor sausages including the veggie option.
Bake beans like warm
Dinning room menu expensive for what you are getting. 2nd night both meals were dry and not enjoyable. Drinks expensive
Location is great, staff friendly lots of car parking
Very dated rooms ( I know there are current renovations going on )
All good except bedroom
Bedroom desperately needs refurbishment
Poor Gluten free options for breakfast for a coeliac child. Staff seemed to struggle with the concept of gluten free and what it meant. Awful bread provided. My child ended up having yogurt and bacon for breakfast.
