I booked and paid for a double room on 8th April 2026 (booking reference 5804672496)
On arriving at the hotel on 13th May (5 weeks after the room was booked and paid for) I was told they could only offer a twin room as no double rooms available. I told the staff on reception this was totally unacceptable as I booked and paid for a double room 5 weeks earlier. To have no double rooms available on my arrival was shocking and unprofessional.
It was only when I made these points they offered me an available double room - I was bemused why they initially stated they could only offer a twin room when a double was available - as per my booking and payment.
Peter on reception gave great customer service and was extremely helpful
I had booked late check out till 1pm and at 9:30am roughly house keeping banged on the door and let themselves in. I then advised I was still in the room. Again at 11:45 roughly, they just let themselves in this time and did not knock, again I told them I was here until 1pm. There needs to be a better system and more respect for customers

Been staying at the Watford Hilton for two nights each week for nearly a year. There's a reason I am staying here. It is nice, welcoming, has great staff, brilliant gym (bit busy), good steaks and a knockout breakfast (and breakfast team).
Keep up the good work!

Good location and comfortable overnight stay. Breakfast was excellent and the friendly, helpful staff were superb in brighten the start to the day.
I requested a room on the lower floors, due to our young dog`s difficulty with lifts.
On our 3rd floor we found several room service trays still with scraps of the meal. Of course our dog was curious to these scents. We met with friends and on our return late at night, tehse trays were still outside the rooms.

It was ideally located for visit to Warner Brothers Studio Tour
Food is a little on the expensive side
Location is great, check in staff are miserable, rude with delusions of grandeur. If you can avoid staying here, then avoid it. They actively go out of their way not to help guests and other staff members, not something one would associate with the Hilton brand. Deputy Front desk manager was rude when checking in and couldn’t even smile when greeting guests.
