I will be back
Pros:

It was my third time to stay there. The first one was 7 years ago, second 4 years ago and now was the third time. Brilliant in every aspect.

A very comfortable stay.
Pros:

Lovely peaceful location. Very helpful staff. Excellent selections for breakfast. Everything was freshly prepared and very nice. Rooms were spacious and clean.

Pleasant but could be massively improved - shame
Pros:

Beautiful setting property looks good on photos. Lots of lovely wildlife in secluded setting. Quiet, no traffic. All requests were responded to quickly. Staff were all very friendly.

Cons:

Decor is really tired and needs updating - paintwork was very chipped and worn. Floors are lifting, light switches and sockets are broken. Rooms are large but sparsely furnished and equipped and mattress in room was thin and uncomfortable. Bar and Dining areas were cold so food went cold quickly. Lots of uneven stairs, made getting around awkward and uncomfortable for those with mobility issues. There had been a wedding/event a few days before and the gf toilets still had glitter all over the place. A sink in the spa area had a hole. The showers were freezing cold and half the lights did not work, so the atmosphere was dark rather than relaxing.

Wij hebben genoten van de rust, de vele vogels, het prachtige pand en de mooie tuin.
Pros:

Vriendelijk personeel, meer dan prima ontbijt in een gezellige eetzaal. Prachtig oud pand uit de 17e eeuw.

It was OK.
Pros:

The room was very spacious. And the location was very nice. The Beakfast was lovely with a good selection to choose from.
The shower was great. Nice and hot everytime we used it.

Cons:

The beds were not the best. 2 single divan beds pushed together. No support for the back. You just sunk in to the mattress. The room looked dated. We didnt mind, but the divan bed had nasty looking brown marks on the side and some of the paint was flaking off the walls. The water from the shower did not drain straight away.. Disappointed with the full welsh breakfast. It tasted great. But was luke warm.

Overall, good.
Pros:

Location was good, great 'entrance feeling' as you drive in. Everything in easy walking distance.

Cons:

TV did not work in room. Breakfast - went down for it at 9.50am to find the only english part of an english breakfast was bacon and a few beans. Not great.

Outwardly beautiful, inwardly v disappointing

The bedroom (no2) and especially the bathroom needed repair, it felt really neglected and unloved, as did alot ofvthe interior of the hotel. The wood in the sauna was charred like there had been a fire and there was a hole in the ceiling above the pool.
