Coco de Mer Hotel and Black Parrot Suites

Wat een mooi verblijf! Bij aankomst gelijk al een warme welkom gehad met een lekker drankje. Kamers zijn super ruim, mooi. Het zwembad super fijn. Lekker rustig. Avondeten was heerlijk en elke avond weer anders, ook het ontbijt. Super vriendelijk personeel. Zeker een aanrader!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and had a wonderful time. The staff were kind and helpful, and our suite was kept clean every day. We also had a beautiful view of the ocean. The location is on the quieter side of the island, but there is a free bus to take you to the busier side a few days a week. There is plenty to do with watersports and other activities. The food was delicious, and there was entertainment during dinner. It was a lovely trip, and I would highly recommend this hotel.

Begrüßungsgetränk und umfassender Informationen zum Ressort, verschiedenen Angeboten (wie z.B. dreimal wöchentlichen und kostenlosen Shuttle zum/vom herrlichen Anse Lazio, einer ebf. kostenlosen Wanderung durch den Regenwald mit dem dafür wohl besten Guide Matthew oder dem Nachmittagskaffee an der Poolbar)?
Unbedingt - doch das Coco de Mer bietet noch weit mehr: ein grandioses, umfangreiches, leckeres und tägliches wechselndes Frühstücks- und Abendbuffet in wunderbarer Atmosphäre am Ozean mit der kleinen Seebrücke und ihrem Infinitivpool im Vordergrund und einem aussergewöhnlich nettem und zuvorkommenden Personal.
Dazu ein als Wohlfühloase zu deklarierendes Anwesen, in welches inklusive der geschmackvoll eingerichteten und komfortablen Lodges einfach alles sehr ästhetisch in seiner ruhigen Lage angelegt ist.
Summa summarum - ein überwältigendes Kleinod mit unbedingter Weiterempfehlung von uns!

Where to begin? With a hassle-free arrival thanks to an organized airport pickup and a warm welcome completely with a welcome drink and comprehensive information about the resort and its various offerings (such as the free shuttle bus three times a week to and from the magnificent Anse Lazio, a complimentary rainforest hike with Matthew - arguably the best guide for the job - or the afternoon coffee at the pool bar)?
Absolutely - but the Coco de Mer offers so much more: a magnificent, extensive, and delicious breakfast and dinner buffet that changes daily, set in a wonderful atmosphere by the ocean - featuring a small jetty with an infinity pool in the foreground - and staffed by exceptionally friendly and attentive personnel.
Even more it is the property itself - a true oasis of well-being, where everything - including the tastefully furnished and comfortable lodges - has been laid out with great aesthetic appeal in a tranquil setting.

We had the most relaxing time here. The property is simply stunning. When we arrived we decided we’d like to upgrade to the Black Parrot Suites as we were staying for our honeymoon, we thought why not make it more special. The staff were very kind to show us around the suites before making the decision and let us pick between two rooms. We got a discounted rate and felt it was well worth the extra. The suites are a private area of the property where you have a separate pool and bar. The rooms were amazing with a spacious balcony spanning the most spectacular view of the mountains and ocean. We loved watching the sunset here every evening. We enjoyed the bath and the outdoor shower was a treat. The rooms were modern and spotlessly cleaned every day.

We had access to the facilities at Coco de Mer and enjoyed the infinity pool and lunch & cocktails at Mango Bar, which we found very reasonably and fairly priced compared to prices in Mahé. We had half board, so had the breakfast and dinner buffet included in our rate. Breakfast was really tasty and varied every day, the freshly made omelettes were wonderful. The dinner was varied every night too. Staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. We enjoyed the live music on Friday night, it created a lovely atmosphere.

We didn’t venture out too much as this was the relaxing part of our honeymoon in the Seychelles. We did go to Anse Lazio which is a 30 minute drive from the hotel. We had a rental car, but the hotel runs a regular shuttle to the beach free of charge. We also did the Vallée de Mai Nature Reserve which is only 10 minutes up the road. We enjoyed our tour here. The hotel offers free stand up paddle boarding and water sports. We rented snorkel equipment from them to take to Anse Lazio with us. It’s in a quieter area of the island but we loved this. You wouldn’t need to venture far as the hotel has everything you need.

This was our second stay in the Black Parrot Suites after our honeymoon 22 years ago!!! From our contact prior to arrival to our leaving for home we were made to feel so special. A lovely welcome from Fiona who showed us to our suite and was there at our previous stay. We also had a welcome bottle of champagne!!! We again took advantage of the free bus transfer to the beautiful Anse Lazio Beach which has changed a lot since our last visit. We also took the three island trip and the day trip to La Digue which again didn't disappoint.
The hotel and suites have been completely refurbished to a modern fresh standard with everything you needed in the room. They were cleaned daily and we had a turn down service in the evening. The buffet was incredible with a good variety to suite everyone's needs. Bar food and drinks were very reasonably priced. The staff made you feel so welcome throughout and couldn't do enough for us. The atmosphere was very relaxed and extremely quiet, ideal for a romantic getaway.
We renewed our wedding vows whilst there and didn't disappoint. Philip made sure everything was planned during our briefing upon arrival. My hair was done by Anne from the spa and she also helped with my make up and dressing. Photographs done which we have to look back on. We were both made to feel so special on the day.

There simply aren’t enough words to describe how magical and perfect our honeymoon at Coco de Mer has been.

From the very first moment we arrived and were welcomed so warmly, to the emotional goodbyes on our last day, every single moment was unforgettable. Coco de Mer is the most romantic, beautiful, comfortable, spotless, and welcoming hotel we have ever experienced.

The food was another highlight of our stay. Every day offered a wonderful variety of cuisines, making each dinner feel like a new culinary experience. We especially loved the Indian-inspired dishes, which were absolutely delicious and prepared with authentic flavors.

Every member of the team made us feel genuinely cared for. The staff are tactful, professional, kind, heartfelt, and always ready to help with a smile. In fact, Coco de Mer’s hospitality is legendary in the Seychelles—we heard about it from our guide, taxi drivers, and even people on Mahé before we arrived on Praslin. Now we completely understand why.

We would like to give our heartfelt thanks to Kamahl, Brigit, Sandra, Harry from the restaurant, Tharindu, and especially Fiona. Fiona is a true legend—so kind, generous, and thoughtful. She took exceptional care of us during our stay in the Black Parrot Suites and made us feel incredibly special.

A special thank you also goes to Ash, the hotel manager. We are truly in awe of how impeccably this beautiful property is maintained. Coco de Mer is a little piece of paradise, and your leadership is clearly reflected in every detail and every member of the team.

The Main door was making noise due to wind so didn't sleep well.
A/C had a terrible noise in the middle of the night and caused lack of sleep.
Main shower heads rusted and water was following from top and side.

The hotel is located a bit more privately, away from the main traffic which makes it ideal for people who want to enjoy a bit more quietness from the daily life. As a general feeling the atmosphere created by the personnel is calm, very polite, attentive to your needs. Same for the rooms, that had enough space, were clean and well maintained. Overall I would say that it is a value for money hotel.
