False advertising. They said they had a pool, it was a large HOT pool. My wife and I burned ourselves on 2 return high pressure spouts in the “pool”. My toddler couldn’t get in the “pool”. My other 2 children were disappointed.One of the front desk clerks, was quite rude (the older one). If you check-out before 8:30am, you won’t have access to the breakfast. The shower was so low and low pressure, I had to kneel to shower. Other than these hiccups, the value was the best part.

Poor Customer Service and not well maintained.
Pros:

I had numerous issues with this hotel, but only need to address one of them. I checked into this hotel and the toilet was broken. I immediately informed the front desk who said they would contact management and get back to me asap. After a couple hours of no response I followed up and was told that they had no other room to move me to and suggested I flush the toilet manually which meant I had to stick my hand into the toilet tank water to pull the chain to flush. Never heard back from management and had to manually flush the toilet after each use. Needless to say that is unacceptable. It's now 3 days later and I have yet to hear back from management. Avoid this place.

I do like this motel, but after my most recent stay I would want a room farther from the highway.
Pros:

It is close to my son’s home. Easy access.

Cons:

I have stayed here before in a different section of the motel and enjoyed it. This time I had a room near the main highway and there was a lot of noise that filtered into the room all night. Also, showers don’t have handles to hold onto. I was reluctant to use the shower for fear of slipping.

very soft beds, but this is not necessarily a valid criticism for everyone, because I think most people prefer them that way. Personally, I like a stiff board.

Cons:

No pool. Didn't know that pets were allowed.
In room coffee was not restocked on day 2 but discovered Lovewell coffee 5 minutes away!

Old Smelly Mattress
Pros:

Fellow Travelers - I would highly recommend staying at a different hotel. I booked 3 nights at this hotel, through Expedia, since it had the best price in the Ojai area. The greeting I received at the front desk was not very professional and lacked good customer service. After ringing the bell for service, I waited for 10 minutes for someone to show up. Then I was asked to sign a document, on a tablet, that I wasn't able to read before signing, which later I regretted since it indicated that there are no refunds if you leave early. As it turns out, the mattress was old and had a bad smell, like old urine and a large bug was in the bathroom sink. Since the hotel office closes at 10:00 pm, I could not get help with the situation and ended up leaving that night. After speaking to Management the next day, they denied refunding any of my money. Expedia was also no help in getting a refund. This whole situation reminds me of another hotel stay where they had BED BUGS, but did not want to take responsibility for their old mattresses. My advice to you... pay the extra bucks and stay somewhere else.

Never again at this place!
Cons:

Our room was tiny and the bed was old. There was neither a sofa or sofa chair, nor a kitchenette in our room. The so-called "breakfast" was a big joke. Only coffee/tea and pre-packed pastries in the lobby. No breakfast room and no place to sit. Motel 6 would be better and less expensive.
