The beds were comfy and the location was perfect
I had to wait 20 minutes to be served at the bar and they did not have the mixer i ordered then I had to wait over 45 minutes for my meal to arrive then I had to ask for the trance music to be turned down ,as it was ridiculously loud ,the women serving at the bar appeared to be enjoying it though ,flicking her hair around and dancing .
When I got to my room my window wouldn't shut and when I walked back to reception I was informed the maintenance person wasnt available, hence being a female solo traveller I did not feel safe so I asked to move to rooms

I lived in Harlow and remember when this hotel opened as the Saxon Inn, it was very nice, the place to stay on your wedding night.
Our visit this time was ok but the building was in a sad state, whilst walking through the corridor to go to the bar there was a huge crack in a wall. It just felt like no body had cared for the building over the past decades.
Perhaps it's now a place for contractors to stay therefore not at a good standard.
The bar was small, food ok, pub type. Most annoyingly was the pool table in the bar where we were eating, the noise of pool balls being played was really loud. They need to relocate it or put some sort of screening up.
The bed was quite comfortable

Very clean, room had everything required, staff was very friendly, parking available.
It’s dog friendly had to pay £15 extra which I didn’t mind the website does state additional fees may apply, however no water bowls provided

I am Kirk's wife. It was me that stayed not him. Breakfast was great. the service was quick and the there was a great variety. Room was simple but adequate for my needs. Loved the smell of the toiletries.
Bed was a little hard - perhaps a soft top would help. The carparking charge. In most places around the world that I have stayed - Carparking is complementary.
Great venue
But old fashioned in reception could do with an update
Dipti was super helpful and we felt really comfortable. Clean rooms, and the restaurant seemed good even though we didn't eat there.
