The location was good
The room was very dirty.there was feacious on the toilet bowl, the soap dish was cracked there was a leak in the bathroom that spilled out to the bedroom the furniture was broken, the tv wouldn't work as the remote was held together with black sellotape the window handle was broken overall very dirty. We have been in caravans that are cleaner.
Staff helpful
Location of room as was kept up all night by gulls wandering on the roof on same level as my room on a hot night and not being able to sleep because of it.
Receptionist were excellent, room was excellent
Bar staff and cleaner and was excellent. Would stay again hotel was fresh and clean
Everyone in hotel was excellent no problem with hotel
Convenient location with a lovely veiw of the sea. Good sized room and bathroom.
A little jaded. In need of some TLC. There were no bedside charging ports.
The room, staff, location, breakfast, comfort, were all fine and I enjoyed my stay at the Mercure hotel in Ayr
Getting in and out of the bathtub /shower was a hazard with no grab handle for support
Bed was comfortable
No air con.
TV did not work
Bathroom said to ask for a vanity kit from reception ( I needed a nail file) but reception had never heard of it.
Brilliant location
Over priced for the the room
Location
Booked a double room, got a twin, manager told me you weren’t guaranteed to get the room you booked!
First I’ve ever heard of it! Room was dirty, carpet and bathroom tiles had spills on them and the cleaners couldn’t get whatever was on the bathroom floor removed, didn’t have any suitable equipment or products and no one even tried to clean the carpet.
For 2 of my 3 nights I’d no TV or hot water and the room next door flooded and the carpet in my room was wet too. Staff seemed very unconcerned and apart from Meghan, weren’t particularly nice.
Great location and comfortable
N/A
staff very helpful ease of access from road and links to town
breakfast plenty of it but mediocre quality
This is a perfectly located hotel. The room was clean and facilities in good order. Large bar and restaurant although I was too tired to make use of them. The bed was lovely to sleep in.
Some areas looked tired and dated. I know it’s a hotel by the sea but the gull are quite annoying at 4am when you’re exhausted and want a sleep.
the reception staff were great. very responsive and helpful.
The room was manky. The carpet was sticky and the furniture very tired! For the price I was expecting a lot more. I am very disappointed with the value and would never stay again!
Rooms spotless staff were excellent breakfast was good
Lower the price of a pint
Desk staff were good.
Restaurant was poor. Staff were disinterested. When crockery ran out it wasn’t replaced without a long wait. Food was average at best.
