Nothing everything was perfect
We have stayed in many hotels and resorts across the world, but this is by far the best we've stayed in.
10/10 in all aspects. Special shout out to Neerusha who's hospitlality was on another level!

Great location by the northern coast. Several food options at the hotel.
Additional amenities (tennis, gym, spa, adult beach, ice cream booth). Great store for buying clothes and jewelry.
Arrival plaza is great with a cafe and quirky bookstore and car / phone booth area.
Water activities are also great to be honest. Kayaking, padelling etc.
A few issues. This is having stayed at the property twice (first a few years ago, and secondly this stay). Generally; hotel standards feel that they have declined. Room cleanliness and quality shows wear and tear.
Initial room provided unfortunately had a bug issue with several ants. This was raised on first and second day, and subsequently following an infestation of hundreds of insects (ants) on the third day, we had no choice but to request a room change - this was accommodated for. We believe the rooms at the bottom are actually better quality than the (pricier) rooms above on the first floor.
The restaurant quality varies. Great Turkish restaurant and buffet options. However, cafe and Peruvian restaurant were sub-par and don’t recommend the extra charge required for the Peruvian place - we barely could eat the food. When we informed the staff that we clearly were not a fan of the food (overcooked dry rice etc.) response was “that’s how we make it”..
The staff also could be trained far better. Staff barely smiled when we arrived at reception and were clearly overwhelmed by the number of guests. When we left and raised the above issues at checkout, there barely seemed to be a concern about the issues raised.
All in all, it’s a shame because the first stay at Luxe was fantastic. Unfortunately, would not return.
The place was beautiful, the staff were very friendly and accommodating and the food was delicious. They have a good system with taxis for moving around and their gym and pools are great. Lots of activities in the hotel daily.
The beaches were beautiful to look at but were very shallow (depth-wise) with some seaweed that can feel a bit awkward to step on, and there were quite a few wasps near the tanning beds. Nothing too bad and wouldn't stop me from returning but worth keeping some distance from plants while tanning.
Bad reception, unclean towels, very crowded for a small space.

Un séjour absolument exceptionnel ! Tout était parfait du début à la fin. L'hôtel est magnifique, les installations sont superbes et l'ambiance est à la fois élégante et chaleureuse.

We chose LUX* Grand Gaube to celebrate our honeymoon and were genuinely looking forward to our stay. The resort itself is beautiful, the grounds are stunning, and the staff were warm and welcoming throughout.
However, our experience was unfortunately overshadowed by a significant issue at check-in. We had booked and paid in full for a LUX* Suite, specifically chosen for its spacious layout. Upon arrival, we were downgraded to a smaller room due to a maintenance issue in our confirmed suite.
While the team kindly offered to upgrade us from Half Board to Full Board as compensation, this did not make up for the loss of the room size and comfort we had paid for — especially on such a special occasion.
The positives:

The negatives:
Downgraded from our paid LUX* Suite without prior notice
Compensation offered did not match the value of the room we booked
The issue was not fully resolved to our satisfaction
We appreciate that maintenance issues can happen, but a room downgrade on a honeymoon — without proper compensation — left us disappointed. We hope management takes guest bookings and special occasions more seriously in the future.
