Pros:

My daughter & I stayed here from July 18-23 in a 1 bedroom apartment with spa on balcony (31A) Staff were phenomenal! Don & Jimmy went above and beyond & were always up for a chat & gave great recommendations. Clean, well equipped (included washing machine & dryer) & comfortable. Pool area fantastic. Never busy. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Cons:

Personal opinion only.. Im a smoker & being a non smoking venue it was a bit of a pain having to go outside everytime.

Staff very happy to attend to any requests. Pool facilities very good.
Pros:

Perfect location for easy walking between beach and shopping strip.

Cons:

Apartment utensils were quite dated and cleaning could have been more thorough.

Cons:

There was no room cleaning or towel and sheet changes whilst we were there. We had to get clean towels from reception and when we asked if the room would be cleaned and serviced, we were told that only happens if you stay for 8 or more nights. However, they did come and clean our room once we asked for it to be done after day 5.

Excellent stay - great location and very comfortable accomodation.
Pros:

Excellent location. Pools were awesome. We had a 2 bedroom apartment which was well equipped and very spacious and comfortable. Car parking was excellent (underground) and staff were helpful.

Cons:

Quite a lot of road noise and noise from surrounding restaurants - for example emptying glass recycling late at night. Microwave combination oven was very ineffective.

Staff were amazing! I dealt with Jimmy. He was incredibly polite and accommodating.

Cons:

The room was too small for us. We would probably book the room on the bottom floor with direct pool access next time, with a kitchen etc

The apartment was very comfortable and clean. Location was excellent.
Swimming pools were great and plentiful.

Cons:

Sofa bed mattress was not good. It could do with a topper.

Pros:

We had a studio room that face and walked straight out into the pool area, it was fantastic, esp loved the fact that i had a corner bath spa in the courtyard area, the bbq area was great and the exit to the outside via the back was a bonus. The hotel was situated in a great location just off the main area but easy walk and close to everything. Staff at reception were very friendly and greeted us everyday which was nice. the room itself had everything we would need or want. Could not fault it room was very comfortable, would definitely stay again

Cons:

Made mistake of going in school holidays, kids having fun in the pool, but parents were a bit a bit rowdy around pool area later in the evening, and unit doors slamming frequently.

Needs some TLC!
Pros:

We have stayed at this property before, the last time 10 years ago & sadly not much has changed in that time - the rooms are now quite outdated & need a refurb, the carpets are quite dusty & the tiles dirty. We selected the 1 bedroom swim-up apartment based on the promise that the pools were heated. Sadly they were not, they were absolutely freezing & when I raised it on day 1 with the manager he spun an excuse & said he would get it looked at. After 8 days & many more asks we gave up! Very disappointing when travelling as a family & selecting a specific pool room that we paid more for which basically can’t be used. Our child lasted 5 mins max each swim. The location of the mantra is great but sadly this will be our last visit to this resort which is in need of some TLC. Definitely better places to stay in town for similar prices & basics like heated pools & clean/ modern apartments.

We love it
Pros:

10 stays in 13 years in Port Douglas and the last 7 have been with Mantra Acqueous. You just can’t beat the location - just off Macrossan St so you have the convenience of walking everywhere, without the noise under your nose. Great staff who understand customer service.
