Central Cairns stay
Pros:

Spacious, clean, bed comfortable, good having a lounge chair, great you had a guest laundry, view and balcony door for fresh air were good
Access to food in restaurant, foyer, room service

Cons:

Pool too cool,
It would be good to have a couple of plates bowls and cutlery
The pillows were all very flat and hard

The location

Extremely outdated hotel that is in need of a revamp. For the price we paid we shouldn't have to worry about beds rolling away from the wall when you sit up in them, tv was old school, the bathroom was tacky and pool area had peeling paint on the decking.
Online photos gave it no indication on how it actually was

Pros:

I thought the breakfast was amazing, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food overall was great.

Cons:

The hotel was a bit run down, the pool didn't look very inviting. The bathroom was quite old and the bath had some of the ceramic come off near the plug that hadn't been fixed.

A great place to stay
Pros:

Lovely staff. Nice and clean. Our waiter was lovely and my daughter got her Sushi Bowl for dinner as we asked her if she had any left she went to ask and made my daughters night bringing her a sushi bowl. Dinner was beautiful same as breakfast

Room was very comfortable, staff were very accommodating

Cons:

It’s is aging quickly, pool area needs some serious work.
Would like a comfortable lounge area to relax in especially when you have to wait for room to be ready.
Disappointed restaurant was closed quite a few times during our stay
