Very disappointed.
Pros:

Not very much. There was a lovely lady at the breakfast check- in.

Cons:

The pool was closed! With no notice prior to our arriving, we would have changed our booked. Room cleanliness was below average. Staff were not overly helpful or interested. No doona provided for the beds, just one cheap blanket. No chairs allowed on the balcony to be able to enjoy the view.

Great view, but that's about it
Pros:

The view was nice, most staff were friendly.

Cons:

Main pool was out of action, which we weren't made aware of until check in - although in the 3 days we were there didn't see any maintenance happening on it so no idea why it was even closed.
Bed had a big depression on one side in the middle. Felt like you were going to roll off the bed.
A/C had 2 options - off or on and was set to about 16deg (there was even a sign on it saying to switch it off before going to sleep as it would get too cold)
Restaurant was average at best - despite being almost completely empty when we went down for dinner we were treated like an inconvenience because we hadn't booked "I'll see if I can find you a table" - there were about 50 empty tables in view.
Breakfast buffet was extremely over priced for what was on offer. Go to Muddy's cafe instead.

We paid for it but view was nice. Beds comfortable

Cons:

Paying $20 for onsite parking , when it’s on the property it should be included in room costs. The “resort pool” not usable and no notice was given. Was expected to walk thru restaurant to access small lap pool.

Rydges has large views with a fantastic view up out to sea and up the esplanade
Pros:

Amazing view, comfy beds and lots of room. The staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

It is a bit of a walk up to the restaurants and shops. We knew that and expected it but after the first walk up and back, it was a bit much for us, in the heat. But if you’re aware of that, it’s not an issue and it’s a pleasant walk along the waterfront. The main pool was closed while we were there but they have a lap pool as well which was fine.

L’accueil des français, le feu d’artifice du vendredi soir visible depuis le balcon

Cons:

Climatisation beaucoup trop forte dans le hall, piscine peu visible et accessible en arrivant tard, un peu loin de la marina quand on doit faire des allers retour
