Staff were poor. Not great service. No reply to messages after leaving something at the hotel. Very poor service overall and not the star rating it has

This hotel is in the perfect location of you are new to Sorrento and dont want to walk too far. Its minutes walk to the centre where all the bars and restaurants are and about 5 minutes walk to the lifts down to the beach. The hotel is nicely decorated and very clean throughout.
Check in was relatively easy and we were shown to very basic but clean rooms. The rooms were quite dated and there was some paint peeling on the bathroom floor. However, they were cleaned daily and towels were replaced. There were also some nice toiletries. Unfortunately, there were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room which is annoying especially if you just wanted to chill in your room after a busy day.
Breakfast was nice. Buffet did have sausages, beans and scrambled egg but a couple of times the container holding these was left opened and the eggs were cold. There were a few cereals, selection of cheese and cold meats, yogurt, honey and bread. The cakes and paistry choice was fabulous and tasted amazing. Breakfast operated really well and food was replenished regularly. We ate a few times from the lunch menu and it was enjoyable. The coffee was really nice.
We had drinks at both the rooftop bar and the downstairs club and they were enjoyable and fairly priced.
The rooftop pool area had amazing views, really beautiful wiyh a really nice lounge and pretty outdoor seating area. However, the pool area is dissapointingly small for the size of the hotel and could be doing with an upgrade. Its supposed to open at 10am and we had to call twice to ask for it to be opened when it was still closed at 1025 am. It became over crowded and really noisy very quickly. Not the place to enjoy a relaxing swim.
The one thing that I didnt enjoy is that you cant take food or drink in. Which is quite difficult if you are going to a trip the next day. There are signs every where that tell you this and I was worried about even taking a bottle of water in to sip during the night when it is hot. Its very off putting.
Overall, a good hotel for the location, basic rooms, tiny pool. Decent breakfast with nice areas to enjoy a relaxing few drinks.
Can’t improve on location but still a good distance drom town. Breakfast is good
I can’t book my third night with the best rate i got for the first two nights ending up moving to B&B

El hotel en su día tuvo que ser muy bueno pero sus instalaciones están obsoletas.,Baño muy antiguo, la habitación era muy amplia pero muy anticuada, y para colmo hice 6 noches y no nos cambiaron las sabanas
The hotel is in a great location, we were upgraded to a better room, we really enjoyed the rooftop bar, and the breakfast was excellent. We certanily would come back again.
Unfortunately, we only spent one day at the hotel, and during this time, we didn't manage to try the rooftop swimming pool and sun loungers. When we arrived on the afternoon of our first day, there were no free chairs. The next morning, instead of 9:00 AM, they only opened around 10:30 AM, claiming that the employee responsible for opening the rooftop terrace didn't show up. Since we had to check out at 11:00 AM, we sadly missed out on this experience. A hotel of this size has many employees; there should be a solution to replace someone if they fail to show up.
