Stunning views!
Pros:

What a beautiful hotel! The setting is gorgeous, surrounded by forests and fields, and just a short drive from the Secret Lagoon. The rooms are spacious, incredibly quiet, and have lovely soft lighting and beautiful views. There are also spa pools to enjoy. I honestly wish we had stayed longer!
Make sure to skip the hotel breakfast and head to the lovely bakery in Flúðir instead. The greenhouse setting is gorgeous, and the cinnamon rolls and pastries are out of this world!

Cons:

Dinner was quite expensive, but absolutely delicious, with very generous portions. The burger was one of the best meals I had in Iceland!

A beautiful lobby and food that leaves you extra disappointed with the rooms and amenities
Pros:

The lobby and dining hall are beautifully designed with views around Flúðir. The dinner menu was very tasty, we tried two different entrées, two mains and two desserts and everything was very good.
Might want to update the description on the Skyr dessert as the main star there is an almond cake with a dollop of skyr, a generous amount of rhubarb puré and ice cream.
The breakfast buffet was a bit of a disappointment, the scrambled eggs were surprisingly inedible.

Cons:

We booked a superior room that sadly was anything but. The beds were not comfortable with sheets that felt like cheap frotté. Mattress cover also didn't fit the bed. There were obvious water damages on the bathroom door, room was very cold when we first got in. (That was easily fixable by closing the window and turning up the thermostat though)
Hallway has seen better days with electric sockets hanging out from the wall. We were excited to try out the hot tubs but unfortunately one was way too warm, the other one way too cold, to the point that they couldn't be used.
I feel like the placement of the extra toilet roll pretty much sums up the level of standard of the rooms.

Very elegant stay for the price we paid!
Pros:

The breakfast was exquisite, and the facilities were perfect. We felt like we were staying somewhere much fancier than what we had paid for.

Great hotel, but had some serious issues.
Pros:

Good breakast buffet, but very expensive for what was offered.

Cons:

One morning a bus tour group went through the breakfast buffet and Hill Hotel did not replenish the buffet after they left. Many dishes were out or very picked over, Dinner at their restaurant was very iffy. One evening they didn't serve because the oven didn't work. Another evening they didn't have the 'catch of the day.'
Room needed maintenance. The shower leaked horribly and sprayed all over.
