Don’t expect a luxury stay in terms of the room itself but good value for money reflected in price. Above all staff cust
Pros:

Staff went out of their way to provide food ( sandwiches) outside restaurant serving hours when we returned from a wedding unable to eat due to a garlic allergy and would otherwise have gone hungry

Cons:

Hotel rooms very shabby definitely need an upgrade and space was tight. Could benefit from refurbishing and facilities like small fridge, safe

Spend a few quid and it could be a nice hotel.
Pros:

Very convenient for a visit to Saltaire and the surrounding area. Lots of parking. Room was clean.

Cons:

Hotel feels really tired and in need of investment. No air con which is fair enough but with the window open you can really hear the road noise.

Can be good value depending when you go.
Pros:

Location good for visit to Saltaire. Good value for money. Had a good sized room.

Cons:

Lack of staff means waiting at bar for someone to serve and same at breakfast. Hotel seen better days. Child lock on window during hottest day of year meant it only opened about 2 inches, the manager wouldn’t allow us the key to unlock even though we were 2 adults in the room!

Room really smelled of cigarette smoke, after complaining we did not get moved to another room.

Plumbing didn't work properly, toilet was partially blocked, shower was just a trickle of water.

Ironing board was ripped and ruined, it could not be stood up on its own legs.

Key card for the room did not work on multiple occasions requiring repeated trips to the front desk.

Cons:

Hotel didn't give me deposit back after end of stay like they were supposed to. Ignored both emails asking why I hadn't received and when I would. Still haven't heard anything weeks after. A pity as hotel itself is good.

Pros:

Very lovely building. Great breakfast and the staff were always helpful and friendly.

Cons:

The room wasn’t terrible clean. The bath/shower really needed some work. The bed was comfortable though.

Pros:

Nice room , but a bit tired, lovely location setting for the outside wedding we attended

Cons:

Check in is a shambles , our wedding was 3.30.... we tried to check in earlier to get ready like alot of others but we couldn't, tried to pay early check in but kept being told room not ready
This is shambolic when people are attending weddings

Pros:

Beautiful open surroundings yet neglected for requesting of customers to use outside grounds with disposal of litter and no required means for people that smoke to have available for use so the grounds were littered unfortunately with smokers Ciggerrette ends. I am smoker myself. And tried to not spoil natural beauty of The Bankfield. Yet others or employees seem to care or take to see importance of the magnificent building and grounds so showing deterioration gradually of the Mercure. Needing a little modinisation. Care given to beauty if once held.
