BE AWARE, I feel there is a scam in operation here.
I pre paid 5 days before arrival.
On arrival, I was told I had to pay again. I produced proof of payment on my Booking App & on my bank account. They would not accept this.
They explained I had to contact Booking to obtain a refund, but meanwhile I had to pay again.
I pointed out it was their responsibility to contact Booking to sort the issue, as they had chosen to promote their hotel on Booking, Booking had not come to them. Any discrepancies was their problem as they had created the platform on Booking.
They still insisted i pay, until I sat down to call Booking & then the local Police for a crime number.
Suddenly, they announced they had updated their system & could see payment had been made.!
Update their system 5 days after payment was made?
I suspect as the hotel is being used by many company reps, if they request a second payment off the occassional rep, there will be a percentage that goes unchallenged.
That is why I have given the lowest score.
My suspicions may be incorrect, but that is how I felt. BE AWARE.
Location and car parking
Noisy, could hear guy in the next room arguing with someone on phone till 1am. Rooms were adjoining with a door but not very soundproof. Long black hairs in the sink and bath. Carpets in the hallway need replacing.

Room and staff were great
The place desperately needs a major refurb - the door handle in the bathroom was falling off - no lock on the bathroom door. Carpet was filthy and marked - bathroom had mould - iron board was broken with cover ripped - it needs condemning and a lot of money spent on it - absolutely not Mercure standard - they need to have a serious look at the hotel as it will impact customer perception
Location and surroundings good. Stay poor. Room very tired, too warm but cleanish. Not a good nights sleep due to noisy Graduation Party going on until early hours. Food poor and staff disorganised in dining area. Also food not hot enough and not quick enough to replace items which were popular. Staff friendly enough but not experienced for large bookings.

It looks like a nice building from the outside
The property is in need of renovation and a deep clean. The carpets are worn and filthy, there’s mould, dirt and dead flies around the window.
