Fantastic week away, loved it!!!
Pros:

Just got back from a weeks all inclusive, and will likely be booking again for next year. By far the best holiday we have had as a family.

All the staff we encountered were energetic, friendly and made a good fuss of the kids.

The hotel is absolutely spotless, really clean and well presented in all areas.

Food was spot on too, fantastic options and fresh paella one lunchtime too which was a great highlight. Loads of options for our kids (7 and 4) and always something a bit exotic for them to try out which was nice.

Loads of drink stations, with pour your own beers and wine too!

The pools are great, pretty cold but its refreshing when it's 32+ degrees!

The water park was great fun for the kids. My boys went to kids club for 3 of the afternoon and absolutely loved it. We have never done that before, but the staff were great and the kids had a brilliant time.

Went to a couple of local beaches in walking distance, and did a day in Villamoura which was a nice change of scenery. Cheap on the Uber app too!

I couldn't fault the hotel at all, such a great place and I would highly recommend to anyone, especially ones with kids in primary school age!

Great for younger families
Pros:

By far the best all inclusive we’ve been to.
Food was varied and fresh every day and so tasty.
Staff were amazing, friendly and so helpful.
Rooms were spacious and clean
Entertainment was varied and fun.
Our children were too old for the kids entertainment (12&14) but what they had in for younger children looked great and the children’s staff had buckets of energy and enthusiasm.
Walking distance to Olhas beach which whilst small was clean and had nice cafes and restaurants.
Hotel is small but I think was definitely part of its charm. Would recommend to younger families especially.

Good holiday but sleep deprived.
Pros:

Overall we enjoyed our holiday however a few things ruined our overall experience.

On arrival, staff were great, our room wasn’t ready however within an hour I received a phone call informing me that it was now ready.

We were allocated a bottom floor apartment in block B which backs onto the play park.

At times people were in the play park til near 1am then we had staff out with the leaf blowers at 7.30am and on other mornings we had staff/gardeners at the other side of our balcony chatting away which woke ourselves and the kids up.

In addition to the above, the people above us sounded as if they were rearranging the furniture and throwing marbles down on the floor until the early hours.

I have read similar reviews regarding the noise from apartments above - So if I was you I’d request a top floor apartment.

Staff - Vast majority of the staff were welcoming and friendly, however some bar staff didn’t like it when you asked for a straw - for some reason they are located behind the bar and are too small for the majority of the glasses.

Food - Overall the food was good, however could maybe have more options for kids, especially at dinner.

Sunbed wars - need to be up early if you want an sunbed anywhere near the pool.

Main pool - pretty busy at times but adequate size, on our arrival we approached the lifeguard to get towels with no response from him - turned out he was out cold sleeping with his tinted shades on. Depending on what lifeguard is on duty depends on whether you’re allowed floats etc in the pool.

Water park - Brilliant for the kids.

Entertainment staff - cracking, always full of energy, engaging and pleasant.

Nighttime entertainment - Usual entertainment, however some of the ‘musicians/dancers’ they had in were woeful however we all have our different tastes.

Location - Ideal location, short walk to the beach and short uber ride to nearby towns.

Overall we enjoyed our holiday but we were genuinely knackered at times due to the lack of sleep we were getting. We did raise the issues to reception staff on three separate occasions and they did their best to sort it out and offer us a different room but stated that it might just be as noisy elsewhere and as we had unpacked etc we decided to remain put, with wishful thinking that every night it would get better - which it didn’t.

We stayed at the Guarana last year and if I had the choice between the two hotels I’d rather stay at the Guarana again.

3.5/5
Pros:

Stayed end of June into July with a party of 7. 3 kids aged 14/13/11 for 2 weeks.

Good points; staff very friendly, food was excellent, rooms were fab (very spacious and no extra charge for safe), maid service every day was very good, location was spot on( only a 10 min stroll to the beach), weather was tremendous, water bottles provided at the beginning of holiday were useful, towels for the pool changed every day for free was good. Everywhere was clean and tidy 👌

Things that were disappointing;
1- no inflatables or balls allowed in the pool. This really spoiled it for us as myself and my daughter love spending time playing with the ball.

2- locking the sports pitch and having to book at reception takes away the chance for kids just to turn up and make friends and have somewhere to hang out. Last few years it’s where my daughter has met people and started to make friends even though she doesn’t really play football.

3- this hotel is great for kids up to 10. Over that there’s really not much going on. The animation team are nice but wander around a lot but don’t really seem to be encouraging any older kids to get together and do things. Shame. Defo thought for our 2 week stay the kids were happy to head home due to lack of activities/ encouragement for them to do things.

4- pool for me is simply too small for the amount of people. It is a slightly colder pool that used to but once in for a month was absolutely fine.

5- games room is hidden away under one of the blocks of apartments. Feels like a thought of “oh we need a games room let’s stick it under there”

6- 1 treadmill in the gym is poor. Went at 7am when it opened and was very aware of others waiting about to use it. Had to try and find a time that was quieter.

7- the sports bar/ poolside bar closed at 11. Even with the World Cup games being shown there even if a game kicked off at 10 everything would shut down at 11. Yes they left the tvs on in reception but a bit of common sense to leave at least the tv on to allow people to watch the second half is surely the right call.

Overall I don’t think we’d come back because of the 7 points above.

We had a day out at slide and splash which was great. Used Ubers both ways. Pine cliffs golf which is close by if avoid at all costs. It’s a rip off. Salgados golf course was much better and discounts if you book online.

If you have a young family though there’s so so much for them to do here but just be aware if you’ve got older kids it can become a bit of a drag.

Definitely only for families with little kiddies. No couples destination.
Pros:

Clean and beautifully kept outdoors areas. (Although I saw a cockroach in the garage.)

Good food in the main restaurant. Car parking is free.

Lovely little water park for kids. Mine really enjoyed it!

In general, the staff was super friendly. Except for the pool area. The towel guys (who apparently were also lifeguards) seemed to have very little interest in their jobs.

And be mindful as they might use some offensive language; when my kids were getting kiddie drinks from the pool bar, a waiter, while speaking otherwise in Portuguese with a colleague, said the F word while my kids were there waiting for their drinks. Mine know Portuguese and English, so they understood everything. The F word is, however, very no-no in an international schools, so it wasn't very good influence for my 6 years old who then repeated the word like a parrot.

It was fairly easy to find sun beds and shadow, probably because Portuguese families are not on holiday yet. Some annoying sun bed reserving, to which staff did nothing, even though it was clearly forbidden in the brochure we received upon arriving.

Cons:

In bathroom, the sink was too high for a 6 years old. There was no stool available, even though the hotel knew that we will be there with smaller kids, so I had to lift him every time when brushing teeth or washing hands.

There was only 1 horrible bright light in the toilet/bathroom, no undirect/soft light. Also no sockets whatsoever, so I couldn't use the night light I brought with me. The only option when going to toilet during night / early morning was to put that solarium light on.

Lovely stay, perfect for families.
Pros:

The hotel and facilities are amazing. Snacks always available and the food is great. Fun entertainment for the kids. The rooms were lovely with two balcony’s. Enough space for the four of us.

Cons:

There was unfortunately a musty smell we couldn’t get rid of in the bedroom.

Memorable holiday!!
Pros:

First of all, I have never left a review for any holiday previously. However, the team at 3HB Clube Humbria were absolutely fantastic and deserve every praise - you can see this in the thousands of reviews already left.

We stayed here for 5 nights as a family of 4. The check in process was quick and easy, right from arriving at the door we had Kris welcome us to help with our bags. The reception team are great and made check in really easy and straight forward - within 10 minutes of arriving the animation team were already engaging with our girls and having fun. Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived however that didn’t matter, we had access to all facilities straight away and after some lunch and some exploring of the grounds, the room was soon available.

The rooms are extremely spacious and well maintained with big balconies. Special shout out to the team cleaning not just the rooms but the hotel as a whole. The entire place is SPOTLESS! You would struggle to find anything unclean at any time.

The facilities are also very good, from the football court and ping pong table to the main pool and kids splash park.

As already mentioned, the entertainment team are fantastic with the kids and even get the parents joining in. Every day there was aqua fit, magic carpet and waterpolo for both kids and adults. Both my children loved bingo which was played everyday, my only recommendation would be to have more than one game. The evenings featured a mini disco that was thoroughly enjoyed by our youngest daughter and a quiz that our eldest enjoyed.

The food was great, our kids are picky eaters and always found something - some questionable combinations but they always left meal times full. We made use of the snack bar daily, enjoying some food and an hour out of the sun. The food here was also exceptional, constantly monitored and replenished. There wasn’t a single time you were waiting longer than a couple of minutes for a drink, plenty of staff on hand to serve drinks.

If you are debating booking this hotel, then stop and get it booked, you will not regret it. Many of the people we spoke to were people returning to the hotel from previous holidays and I can see why.

Thank you to the team at 3HB Clube Humbria for a fantastic holiday, we will be back!!

As férias onde os pais e os filhos divertiram-se imenso!
Pros:

Adoramos a animação, os animadores eram excelentes! As crianças não os largavam. A comida era muito boa. Todos os funcionarios muito simpáticos. O espaço limpo, muitas espreguiçadeiras. Foi a nossa primeira vez lá e excedeu as nossas expetativas! Obrigada pelas férias maravilhosas. Vamos voltar em setembro.

Amazing family holiday!
Pros:

Just returned from a fantastic holiday with my husband & 2 children. The hotel was exceptionally clean & well maintained. The food & drink on offer was lovely, plenty for fussy children too. Although it could get quite busy at times during mealtimes, the staff were very efficient. All staff were friendly & lovely to our children, especially the kids club staff. Plenty of stuff for the kids to enjoy & to keep them entertained throughout the day. The only minor issue we had was the pools were very cold, too cold for our 13 month old who cried when we tried to put him in so this is something to be mindful of if taking a baby. This was only a small issue though on an overall amazing holiday. We will definitely be returning!

Perfect family offering
Pros:

Recently returned from a 7 night stay with 2 adults and a 3 year old. Check in was very easy, spacious apartment with bed rail as requested. Found the all inclusive offering really good, the occasional night it may not be to your taste but always plenty of options and you would not go hungry. Pancakes in the morning were top class. Only negative was the coffee which was very poor. Rosé wine available in bottles at dinner….beautiful. Found the cocktails more than acceptable, mojitos were lovely. We had no issues with pool temperature. We are used to a heated pool so were nervous about this but it was perfect mid June. Playground small but our little fella had loads of fun and wanted to go there instead of mini disco every night. Plenty of sun loungers available, we preferred the grass area rather than poolside. Day out at Zoomarine where we have visited before, excellent as always and we spent a lovely afternoon on the beach.
